bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Indians horribly behind the rest in canoeing and kayaking. Given the number of rivers and rapids we have in the himalayas I think this is a great opportunity for improvement as well. Almost always last atm in the sprint events.
bharathh Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Wow.. that said India medal (bronze) in the 100m canoe sprint. Unfortunately Ubekistan win gold getting them closer to India on the medal tally. Talk about a jinx though :) Happy to be proven wrong if the Indian canoeers can prove me wrong all the time. Still way behind the Uzbek and Kazakhs though. The Indians were leading half way through but lost steam towards the end. Apparently only 16 yrs old hte pair that won the bronze.

The rest of the top order was very poor. Rinku's flourish at the end helped as well. Need a better showing with the bat. Also, Arshdeep's bowling left a lot to be desired. Spinners were good though.

Unfortunately, Tejaswin loses his huge lead and is in the deficit by 90 points with 2 events to go. Looks the Chinese is really good at field and not so much track. Will go down to the last event (1500m) to decide the winner. Top 2 way ahead of the rest of the field. This should be between Tejaswin and the Chinese guy. deepdynamo and cowboysfan 2
