someone
On 12/15/2023 at 3:05 AM, Nikhil_cric said: The BJP are actually late to that level of politics. They were clearly more of an upper caste party themselves until the late 80's. 2014 onwards the real success has been capturing the OBC votebank across India. For all the opposition they raised about Mandal politics , it would be difficult for them to remove reservation for OBC's even if they do slip into that rhetoric every now and then. OBC votebank is just a political terminology. In real life, it has no meaning, you don't see any marriages happening within. Whereas like SC, do have some inter-connect nowadays. And what is OBC in one state, is different in other state. That's why caste census is nonsense, and just preaching instead of doing any real work for the community. Also, 2014 wasn't about caste victory. It was pro-voters, aspirational class, a self-made and hardworking man vowing the country. Compare with today's challenger now, and does Rahul Gandhi even have any pro-voters? He has zero achievements, zero o stories, zero success. Yet given a free pass completely as he just abuses Modi. diga and coffee_rules

It's absurd. Both sides have their reports on economic, social welfare, and democracy. Do you know what was democracy pre-2014, BJP was untouchable and no true space existed. Please watch some old debates, and see how much Rahul Gandhi was adored, pampered. And don't need the western concepts or words imposed on India. India has it's own unique history, unique challenges, and it's own unique solutions has to be done. You completely ignore India's own credibility, past and present, just to impose the western template for India. diga, G_B_ and coffee_rules

ravishingravi
Contrary to popular view, I think it's a good move to not attend the pran pratishta on Jan 22nd by Congress. They will look helpless and aimless while the whole event will be conducted around Modiji. They don't gain anything either way.
ravishingravi
Congress thinking or strategy is beyond my pay grade. @Lone Wolf What is is Congress thinking ? What would you do to revive congress ? I feel they are in catch 22 now having gone too far with appeasement strategy.
