Come on guys give credit where due

Jaiswal and Gill best young batsmen in country  are permanent now in tests

If jurel bats well he will be permanent too

One out of him or sarfaraj will play tests in Australia

these are very young players when was last time Indian test team had such young players

Also kuldeep will replace axar next match but being a specialist bowler he has to put in match winning spell

Sometimes it's up to players to grab the opportunity

I think fast bowling maybe not too many options are there in domestic .

Krishna was groomed but he failed

I agree. It is also good to see the selections are not influenced by white ball cricket otherwise there was a time when SKY got selected in the squad.

Right now, they have got Jaiswal and Gill in the mix, obviously Gill who is touted as best young batsman is all in the sea nowadays but you can only drop him after giving a fair run.

Pace bowling needs a little more work but I agree that the options available are not anywhere as good as ICFers mention. Ultimately, you gotta back whatever you chose.

You do realize its almost a certainty that if Pant makes it back into the Test side, it will be 100% influenced by his performance in the IPL.

No.

Pant is a proven performer in Tests.

Kishan didn't played ranji games and he plays IPL but he was not considered for Tests.

TM has actually dropped a few players:

* Iyer

* Bharat

* Mukesh

* Axar

* Prasidh

So credit to them they have showed some cojones

Patidar is next if he fails all series.

There are easy kills that cause no ripples in the media.

It wont surprise me if Patidar is dropped for the next game for KL.

no, sarfaraz will get dropped for KL. Patidar has powerful backers that you may not be aware of, at the state and nat'l govt level

Sarfaraz perfomance showed why its necessary to pick someone like him.

The selectors, team management should not look for a players to be marketable ie Gill,Iyer,Pandya and but also the main criteria ,playing well on the field.Why was he not selected, when he was consistently scoring runs.

Also selectors should think out of box and select smart cricketers like Sarfaraz,Parag etc.

Instead of Padikal, Parag may have been considered who is in form ,who can bowl some overs.It would have been ideal when Jadeja,Ashwin,Kuldeep are ineffective.

Selectors should consider the main criteria batting and bowling ,and not to worried about how they celebrate their milestones
