This thread can be used to predict the events happening during the IPL 2024.

I will start with my prediction, the 5 teams which will not qualify for playoffs are

1. RCB

2. DC

3. RR

4. PBKS

5. SRH

So top 4 fight is going to be between MI, CSK, GT, LSG & KKR.

Reckon LSG and RR could be in Top 2 running...

I see MI as pretty weak & so does HaarCeeBe which has zero firepower.

CSK is better than these two on paper so as usual will sneak into top 4.

SRH like last year strongest side on Paper with best OS stock available...  But They may struggle in slow Hyderabad.

No hope for DC (most boring side) and PBKS will choke when matters.

IMO, here is how the teams stack up.

No hope teams DC and PBKS

Confused teams - SRH, RCB

Mid teams - LSG, GT, KKR

Top teams - RR, CSK, MI

MI has firepower, but new captaincy might confuse them and lead to ego clashes, so their drive and motivation is questionable.

RR has the strongest top 6 IMO. Hope their bowling backs it up.

CSK has many options as usual. Addition of Rachin and Mitchell is good.

GT looks good. If Gill can repeat last year's magic, they will finish between 4-6.

LSG and KKR have decent squads.  If Iyer and Starc deliver, both sides will push for 4-6.

SRH is the most confused line up. They have too many options, with some potentially sure starters likely to be benched. If they lose a couple of games, they'll play musical chair with their XI, and remain unsettled through the tournament.

RCB's batting looks good. Bowling is as usual weak. Never understood why they picked Alzari for 11cr when they could have gone for Coetzee at 5-6cr. Fergusson has pace but leaks runs. Akashdeep should have a good season for them to win anything.

DC and PBKS have the worst sides on paper with a lot of washed up players. I expect them to finish bottom two.

MI - 100% true

RR - Death bowling is a big concern. No guarantee on the form of Riyan Parag & Shimron Hetmyer.

CSK - Solid team for home conditions. 50% IPL is set there itself.

GT - Bowling looks light due to absence of Shami. Others have to step up.

LSG - Fast bowling has lot of firepower. Captain is their weakness.

KKR - All base covered first XI. Bench might be a problem.

SRH - Home conditions won't suit the captain. That's the biggest issue they have

RCB - Non existent bowling for Chinnaswamy. Too top heavy.

DC - Poor fast bowling, spinners are good. But there is no completeness in batting.

PBKS - Mediocre everywhere. Doesn't look like a team. Kinda like DC of 2008 edition.
