you are spot on. 2021 t20 india crashed out of t20 worldcup having lost to Pakistan and the preassure mounted in next match.

2022 t20 , had we not won against Pakistan again, ind vs zim  ended up close game . we lost to South Africa as well .

Kohli was the second highest in runs/strike rate, next to payday with Rahul/rohit/surya Kumar yadava failing big time. The pitch was better under lights and played slow in the first innings.

I think you are talking about ind vs ban which was close and we won by dls(5 runs)

Even there Kohli was the highest run scorer at 150 str ratr.

Did we win those cups?

Sachin got man of the series in 2003 worldcup despite failing in the final. was he stat padding?

Kohli was 35 years old  when he topped 2023 worldcup with a century in semis and half century in final. You label  him as stat padder?  Had rohit played stat padding innings in the final instead of throwing his wicket away, we would have won the 2023 worldcup.(not my view, Sunil gavaskar repeatedly labelled robot's shot  as greedy having scored 6 and 4 already against Maxwell, if he had the skill to stat pad like kohli in final, there is no way India would have lost the match )

Historically rated as one of the best knocks in final, this is aravinda desilvas score in 1996 final against AUS in final. 107 off 122. Kohli all through out the 2023 worldcup maintained strike rate of 90 and batted through the innings.

not out  107 124 176 13 0 86.29

My case rests since I can't argue with a blind hater.

If you don't understand the difference between t20s and ODIs there is no point having any discussion with you my dude.

In ODIs we have 6 batsman for 50 overs. Long innings don't harm

We are only and only talking of t20s. There are only 120 balls for 6 batsmen . Batmen playing long safe innings actively harm the team. There have been multiple studies (including many by Cricinfo, just google) which shows batsmen playing long inings harma the team unless they are over 180 strike rate

People need to stop thinking of t20 as extended odis. We are playing ODI greats and then praising their long useless inings. T20 needs different strategy and approach, top needs to be batsmen like Narine and similar batsmen

Long innings stat padders help team win in ODIs but they harm the team in T20s

No team with stat padders on top will ever win the t20 world cup.

Except 2021, kohli did fine. lets eagerly wait what's to unfold in 2024 t20 wc.  180 strike rate was no where to be seen in 2022 t20 final when ben stokes played a long innings.2021 t20, yes it fits your narrative. 2016 t20 final, target was 160 ish . 2014 t20 target was 130 ish in the final 2012 t20 target was again moderate 140 ish

when did ever a single person win a cup ? isnot it the team? when did others step up?

there is a cricinfo article which takes about historical aspect of luck/chance element in winning iCC trophies

some of the unlucky incidents in Indias ICC final events

2019. Indias innings got played next day due to overnight rain which resulted in undue advantage for NZ with overcast conditions & extra swing than is available

2023- pitch doctoring by team management going wrong

2017 champions trophy- bumrahs no ball wicket of fakhar zaman

kinda evens out what ever luck dhoni had during 2007 t20 final & 2011 World Cup semis
