umpire
Is this Indian XI big hitting team ever? Sehwag (Big Hitter) Gambhir (reliable semi big hitter) Yusuf Pathan (B@$tard Hitter) Yuvi (big big hitter) Dhoni (Dhobi hitter) Rohit (sensible semi big hitter) Raina (sensible big hitter) Irfan (Big hitter) Praveen (big slogger) Chawla (can hit) Link to comment

ludhianvi
yep, the batting lineup seems to have gotten long with players like Pathan, Praveen Kumar and Chawla coming in at #8,9, and 10 Link to comment

Desi Cartman
if IP is able to find form with the ball then its a great combination for an ODi/T20 team ! Link to comment
Online
now add SRT to that team and you are all set :two_thumbs_up: Link to comment
amits
on their day, this indian team can easily score 400+ againstANY team in the world Link to comment
flamy
Praveen cant bat. He is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overrated as a batsman. He is worse than afridi, wow I dont know a more f'ed up insult :omg: Link to comment
Gambit
Here is where Dhoni's new found adaptability will be so vital. If everyone is hitting and killing the opposition, he will bring out his Mr.Hyde side and cane them without mercy. If others fall cheaply, he can be Dr.Jekyll and steady the ship. Yuvi, of course, can do the same. Link to comment
flamy
lol, I have read somewhere that our team is full of sloggers now. :winky: In case of a top order disaster, we have Rohit, Raina, Yuvraj and Dhoni, all of whom know how to steady an innings and later up the tempo. Link to comment
amits
sehwag, rohit sharma, raina & even yusuf pathan r not sloggers. they play proper cricketing shots Link to comment
Temujin Khaghan
on their day' date=' this indian team can easily score 400+ against[b']ANY team in the world or get out for less than 150 on a green track. I hope we wont miss Rahul Dravid in future... Link to comment

swami1984
I hope that we learn to keep our tempo up through a test match/ODI. Thats what the Aussies are renowned for. In ODIs even if theyre 15/2 and Ponting is batting, that ba$tard still goes for his strokes as if its 50/0. In tests, Hayden, Ponting, Symonds all keep the RR up. Au contraire, in ODIs when we were 15/2 Dravid would have his usual 15 out of 40 ball session. We need to become better "sloggers" than them. Link to comment
amits
Praveen cant bat. He is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overrated as a batsman. He is worse than afridi' date=' wow I dont know a more f'ed up insult :omg:[/quote'] it does look like that. even harbhajan & piyush chawla seem to be more better batsmen than him. however pravin is a decent bowler & can swing the ball both ways. he should concentrate more in his bowling now. we dont need another irfan pathan-type situation happening with pravin kumar Link to comment
jf1gp_1
lets not forget pak team of mid 90's , anwar, sohail , ijaz, inzi, afridi even bowlers like akram could wack a long way. Link to comment
jf1gp_1
till a few months agao gili, hayden, ponting, symond, add to that hussey and clarke, you have another team with lots of big hitters. Link to comment
amits
or get out for less than 150 on a green track. I hope we wont miss Rahul Dravid in future... players like sehwag, gambhir(who played well in green tracks on cb series), rohit sharma(technically correct batsman) will do well in green tracks & even on green tracks, we have enough batting to make 250+ & on flat tracks, 350+ or even 400+ on their day and as for yusuf pathan, he plays very straight even against bowlers like mcgrath & muralitharan, he played proper cricketing shots Link to comment
