Jay's takeaways from DULEEP TROPHY

Agree with OP regarding a few points...

1. Kuldeep is a bit of bottler. A rich man's version of Chahal. He goes missing when needed just like he did in WT20 final and doesn't appear to be mentally strong.

2. Axar is a must for every format. Bapu rules and shows up big time when needed.

3. Akash Deep needs to be in the scheme of things.

Few points I disagree with...

1. Harshit wasn't touted as an all-rounder. He's someone who can hold the bat and has the ability to add runs lower down the order unlike likes of Siraj, Avesh etc.

2. KL and Sundar should not be compared. Sundar is way ahead of KL and can handle pressure as his performance in Gabba Test showed. KL can never do that.

3. Avesh may have picked 5 wkts but Akash Deep and Harshit are much better options.

4. Jurel deserves to be the backup wkt keeper behind Pant. And Rian Parag is a good fit for white-ball cricket and not Tests at the moment.

thats why they are adding Axar in all the Xis

He is not needed and India looked dominant against England the moment they dropped this guy.

Kuldeep is more important than any runs that Axar scores.

No Axar should not be in the test team.He is in the team as bowler first. His bowling is useless.

But he is actually in the team now a days for his batting first in home tests

I just don’t think Sundar is test class as of now as a bowler.. rest yea I agree

Axars batting saved India against Australia , consistently. He was literally the second highest run scorer for India vs Aus at an avg of 88

!!

Even against England he averaged 33 with the bat.

Ashwin and Jaddu are there already.

Axar’s runs are really important with our weak middle order.

Sundar's utility is on seaming or fast bowling pitches where you need a spinner to simply hold one up. He would be there to simply give the fast bowlers a break or on pitches where you're playing 3 spinners alongside Axar and Ashwin/Kuldeep. He adds batting depth and a supporting bowler similar to the role he played in Gabba or against England a few years ago.

No he is not in for batting.

India middle order is not weak.He is not needed for his batting. That is what produces bits and pieces players like Axar. His bowling has to improve for him to find a spot. Kuldeep over him anyday.

If current batsman don't do the job then get batsmen who can do the job.

2) Medium Accurate Pacers thrive again.

Mukesh Kumar with 3 wickets, Avesh Khan with 5 wickets, Akahsdeep (my favrt) with 9 wickets, Vysakh with 5 wickets, Yash Dayal ...have smashed the GRADE 5 phaast bowling COACHES of ICF COUCH ACADEMY once again while their favorties Tyagi, Umran, Mayank Yadav, Kuldeep Sen - watching it from TV

Love proving clowns wrong again and again

All my predictions came true again. You don’t mess with the Master kids.

:hysterical: Some people were thinking Kuldeep should be ahead of Ash in home conditions

Akashdeep shining again

Bumrah, has to play tests for India all the time. Got enough rest in other formats

1) "Kuldeep yadav better test batter than ASHWIN" :hysterical: - ICF muppets
Not only is he nowhere near ISHANT SHARMA as a test batter but he is also a champion BOTTLER as a bowler who always fuks up under slight pressure.
