Match starts today at 10 am (IST).  Interesting that Noida is hosting the test.  Not sure if it has hosted any intl match earlier.

Afghans hv improved a lot in white ball cricket. Would be great if they can bring that performance to red ball cricket.

NZ and Kane mama always take matches against minnows seriously.

Don't think we will get the game today despite the sunny weather. These wet patches just dont go away. Is there a supersopper ? What kind of a ground is it ?

"India’s latest and 30th test venue is still waiting for the toss and play. It’s a sunny morning but ground is still not ready due to late night of rain. Umpires will inspect the ground at 11am IST now"

No there are no supersoppers. Also not much of a comfortable seating for the crowd. It is a good decent ground and I think has PLAYED host to afghan previously as well (loi) but the equipments are poor.

Last week it looked pike a swimming pool after a downpour and even afghan players were mocking it. They use hair dryer and stuff to dry ground. 
Sad really - Afghans need all the tests they can get

The report said that the practice pitch was flooded and the ground staff used two table fans to dry the ground. The report further mentioned that there are no super-soppers or covers to protect the 30-yard circle. In fact, Afghanistan bowling coach Hamid Hasan had trouble finding a 10-yard spot with less dampness.

Only a week ago we were taunting the Padosis for being unable to dry the pitch before afternoon. This is highly unacceptable.
