IndianRenegade Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 (edited) Luttnick is basically at the stage if Trump says sh!t tastes good, I will eat bucket loads of it. Edited August 26, 2025 by IndianRenegade
IndianRenegade Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 (edited) Okay I have seen enough. Whatever happens economically, American exceptionalism is done! The rule of law, checks & balances that made it unique has been decimated, whatever remains is on route to being decimated. 2026 will not save America, gerrymandering on the scale not seen before will ensure it. Trump was right, just vote this one time & you will not need to vote again. America is done, I might be wrong, I hope I am, but I don't see how I am wrong. Tbh the only one that has come out well in this whole situation is China. They have played the game well. Hats off to the Chinese mandarins who have engineered all this. They were in danger of losing manufacturing to other countries - the tariffs have put paid to said plans. Only India gets tariffed, and the US has lost a valuable ally who was a deterrent vs the Chinese. They have even managed to temporarily get their Iron Brother Pakistan begging from other countries instead of them. Their oil imports are safe for now while they switch to other means of generating energy. They have got MAGA to buy into Chinese being acceptable compared to the filthy Indians who apparently rob them of their jobs whereas the Chinese don't. They can invade Taiwan at their convenience now. I don't think India will speak out too much given that the entire West has united vs India as the aggressor in the Russian war against Ukraine. It's coming up all wins for China. They have been awesome at pulling the strings of the US administration to make things go their way. Seriously hats off! That's what you call a planning commission. randomGuy Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 (edited) Good breakdown.... 60 billion usd out of 86 billion total exports to be tariffed at 60%. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/india-business/severe-trade-shock-donald-trumps-tariffs-to-hit-66-of-indias-exports-to-us-china-vietnam-set-to-gain/articleshow/123515790.cms Amrika me rehne wale bhaiyon, keep your investments in INR rather than in USD. IndianRenegade Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 Not sure how much truth is in this… but if true this is disastrous tactics, I honestly can’t understand why you wouldn’t want to talk to Trump if he reached out. even if you don’t agree with him, it probably leads to delay in tariffs until there is consensus? But who knows what’s going on behind the scenes? Nagz 1

Trump likes deals - let his trade delegation work it out. randomGuy 1

China's manufacturing prowess and control on rare earth supply chain plays a big role in it. China can single handedly jam the whole world with its economic sanctions if it wants to. US, its clear cant do jack. India though has manufacturing capability, the extent of scale is still lower. Plus we are more prone to supply chain issues. IMEC could have been a game changer for us. But China instigated Hamas and burned down that corridor.

They own 90+% of the EV market as well. The only thing they really lack supremacy atm is in fossil fuels and semiconductors. They pretty have very established supply chains for all other commodities from Africa and Australia/South America. All this needed superb planning and execution though - which they have done. Ergo - well played China. ravishingravi and singhvivek141 2

It might not be true, But I think Trump desperately needs someone buy American agricultural produce with big cancelation from China, Canada etc and best option to replace is get some country with big population to buy it and Trump will not admit Farmers are not able get buyers because of his polices.

Why not Pak? They are his best friends and have a huge population. He can do the same for Bangladesh. They together have a pop > 500M + Problems solved. Indonesia has also lowered tariffs to near 0 for food and agricultural products from the US. That would make it 750M+.

Makng them more indebted to them. It will all be put on the tab in exchange for bases in Pak and maybe even Bangladesh. Both countries know they will not be used against them. They will only be used vs Iran/China/India

It's just out of this world. Their game is on par with the Islamists

Many experts were calling Russia as a dying power...this guy has re-energized the country. There military hardware capability is still going strong. Single handedly they bashed the entire NATO and US weapons in Ukraine and yet dont show any sign of fatigue. Kudos to Russian people as well, unlike ours, they dont whine and are actually supporting their president.
