I have been warning about this. Our side is not a good side. It relies on a couple of individuals. It is not the side the bulldozed everyone last year. Because top 3 was working well for us.

Many sides will have some gaps but our side has created a big hole by drafting Gill in and out of form SKY has made it a crater

the only one stopping our T20 team is branding and pushing players who really are not suited for that format,Gill has made our batting look terrible

BCCI today looks more focused on brands and money than on the future of Indian cricket. Players are treated like milk-yielding cows, not as great flag bearers of Indian cricket

It was a coincidence that Kohli came into the scene after Sachin )or maybe the face of Indian cricket) and then badada Vada ,Dhawan joined in

Young players take time to find their feet, you need a mindful, mature guide(here coach)to show them their destination/objectives

Instead, Gautam Gambhir’s way of dictating terms has disturbed the balance that worked earlier across formats.
Tilak Varma suddenly pushed to No. 3
 Gill accommodated without clarity
Sanju Samson, who scored heavily last year, sidelined

same SA looked like our bunnies now the roles have reversed due to a man's conduct and doctrine

Despite of what happened today..we know our bowlers had a really bad day managing with the wet ball..around 3 overs extra we bowled..plus full tosses..turning to sixes..that reduced death bowling a bit predictable..min 30-50 runs we conceded extra due to it..

Though we should have bowled better as these guys practice with wet balls in nets..and probably the bowlers will come back better next time..and may be we will get back to winning ways..

But we shudnt forget..we could have chased this total..and shouldnt let it go under the rug what was exposed today from batting point of view..which BCCi and TM would be keen to wash away it..

Most things will fall inplace just by putting a wk at Opening slot. This will open up a slot and team can  bring extra batter/bowler/allrounder what ever they want  and that gives the flexibility to change 1 player depending on match and opp.

Even if the wk opener does not score anything you can have extra batter.

Ind team is looking v.week and there are many gaps that are showing up now, it started with Asia cup then Aus tour and now vs SA

Most teams would have fixed it, Subhuman gill even if he scores runs in next games he is not a t20i batter . He has another 8 t20i matched he will score in some of those as he did in Aus and ppl and experts were telling that noting is wrong with him he got runs

even if Gill score runs..he will still do damage by putting pressure on Abhishek..

Yes those 40 ball 50-55 ,65 ball 80-90 that too vs poor attacks on a belter will cause damage to his side anyway

yes such players scoring runs in meaningless games damages team long term where you get not so high potential/format suited player remains in the team.

Abhishek is already underpressure, now he can not take 6-7 balls to get going , he has to go straight away and score quick runs for himself and the other batter too.

Even look at head-abhishek partnerships in ipl, not every time head goes from ball-1 and he takes time while ahbishek do the hitting and in some match abhishek takes some time  and head start going from ball-1 it depends on match to match nothing pre-decided its just who is able to do it 1st and other can start bit later . but now in Ind its all upto him. even with sanju and abhishek not in all the games did abhishek started going from ball-1 sanju took initiative few times and few times it was abhishek its how it works .

Now its all on abhishek and opp. teams knows it they bowl out side his hitting arc and then suddenly bowl an quick bouncer

Even though India might go on to win this series 3-2 or 4-1, its a fairly cohesivie consensus that Gill ( in his least suitable format) has disrupted the entire balance of the T20 XI singlehandily. On top of that SKY looks woefully out of form and there you go - two non performing players in top 3. No T2O team can win if you have two top order players consistently failing. There are other problems too - Jitesh seems short of international quality. Just don't feel that confidence in Jitesh at 7 and Axar at 8 against good international bowlers. Dube , as a top 6 batsman, is also a hit or miss player against genuine hard length pace.

All of a sudden, we have got real problems and just 8 more matches to sort them out before the World Cup.

On Bowling front, not being too perturbed at the moment. Both Bumrah and Arshdeep had a terrible game. This can be a one off. Fairly confident, we have the bowlers to stop teams at par or under par. Also, this is the best bowling group for us. So, need to back them.

Bumrah went 15 and 18 in his last 2 overs.
Arshdeep went 18 and 16 in his last 2 overs.

And, even in their first spells were like 0/20 (2)

Bowling lineup is good /v.good, even if you had all the players in the world playing today are available to you these 4/5 bowler will make to most of t20i bowling line-up

Bhumrah :: he will be picked in all the teams

Arsh : Starc, boult, shaheen , think one would pick Arsh above shaheen on performance in last 2-3 yrs.

Varun : Theeksana, Abrar, Mujeeb/gujanfar, think currently Varun is far better than them. Will be picked in all the teams

Kuldeep ::Other wrist spinner may challenge him on his ability under pressure, Zampa, rashid, noor, Adil, hasaranga muqooeem, think he will be picked above adil, noor and hasaranga and will give tough challenege to rahid and be equal to zampa or may have bit of edge may be noor on his day whn not bowling wdes and spraying all over is the best wrist spinner

India want to play Axar, Pandya and Dube for extended batting strength and six bowling options. Fair eonugh.

But the problem is that out of other remaining 5 batsman, three are either not suitable for T20, or out of form, or not international standard.

Gill - not suitable for T20.
Sky- out of form
Jitesh- not international standard.

Bumrah, Arshdeep, Varun and Kuldeep are the four best T20 bowlers in India. No doubt about it.
Pandya and Axar are good supporting bowlers too.

Just going through T20 world Cup groups,

Group A: India, Pakistan, USA, Netherlands, Namibia

India should progress to super eight easily as our bowling is way too good for all other teams.

Super 8s- (India) (Australia) (West Indies or Bangladesh) (South Africa or Afghansitan)
We should hope that South Africa gets knocked out from their league group ( comprising NZ and AFG) so we avoid meeting them in the super eights and face AFG instead.

Overall, we should reach semifinal at worst.
