deepdynamo
In 2024, played 26, won 24. T20 WC Champion. Can't get more consistent than that. Also, looked like all bases are covered for any condition. These are the pool of 22 players available for Gautam Gambhir. Plenty of multi skill players as well. Top Order Jaiswal, Abhishek, Samson, Tilak, Gill, Sky Middle Order Pant, Parag, Rinku, Pandya, Nitish, Dube, Ramandeep Spinners Axar, Varun, Bishnoi, Kuldeep, Washington Pacers Bumrah, Arshdeep, Mayank, Harshit Edited November 15, 2024 by deepdynamo tweaker, Norman, Mariyam and 3 others 1 5 Link to comment

Ultimate_Game
Imagine if we add Jaiswal (replacing Abhishek) and Bumrah (replacing Bishnoi), we would be all set for the next WT 20. Hope selectors don't bring in likes of Siraj or even Pant back. The T20 team is set and doesn't need too much tinkering. deepdynamo 1 Link to comment
Norman
Next T20 WC is in India where shitty dew and toss will decide the winner. We should curb our expectations a little bit considering how unlucky we are when it comes to winning tosses in key knockout games. raki05 and deepdynamo 1 1 Link to comment

Jaiswal is gold but should be kept for longer formats. Bumrah will replace one of the spinners depending on form in WT20. REverse sweep on a turning track against left arm spinner. Manucrick, deepdynamo, raki05 and 1 other 2 2 Link to comment
tapandrun
Few noticeable things Ind batting tends to lose the steam towards the end, they go v.good till 17th over but suddenly 4/6 dries up. Yes bowling side also try to bowl in block-holes and try to restrict run-flow but this should be concerning. express bowling 1 Link to comment
tapandrun
Ind has been doing well in bilateral so that does not give the entire prospective when it comes to marque events/matches. Still fast bowling is kind of an issue Ind went with only A.singh as lone specialist pacer in this and previous match Edited November 16, 2024 by tapandrun deepdynamo and express bowling 2 Link to comment

The Realist
Yeah let's not go overboard. Bilateral champions does not equal being able to replicate performance in tournament conditions. Edited November 15, 2024 by The Realist deepdynamo and tapandrun 2 Link to comment

I'm still not over the 2023 WC final fiasco. Holding the final in that manhoos stadium, tampering with that pitch to make it even worse, selecting Siraj when Ashwin would've been a better option for that cow dung of a pitch, and shytting the bed by usual panautis KL & Kohli after Rohit had given a decent start. Couldn't even score 280 after being 802 off 10. Edited November 16, 2024 by Ultimate_Game nevada, deepdynamo and raki05 1 2 Link to comment
rollingstoned
If we had lost this series then many people would have claimed that this is an overrated htb side which is an indictment of lack of talent in the country. Now that we won and comprehensively at that - should have swept the series l- there will be crickets chirping and claims that this is only a bilateral and they will be thrashed somewhere else ie Australia. express bowling, Need4Speed, deepdynamo and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment
MK55
The T20 team is a lot more exciting than our teams in other formats. Add in Mayank and Harshit in the bowling department, and this will be a seriously good team. Spin department looks decent too. Lots of lower order batting with Axar down the order and Hardik bowling 4 overs. The batters need to keep honing their weaknesses. For Samson it’s his tendency to get out as a duck, for A Sharma and to some extent Tilak it’s their short ball game. But I’m liking this. deepdynamo, Lone Wolf, raki05 and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment
