One more. Its youngster's fault. Guy probably expected Reddy to bat long at 8

Says the guy who hasn't played even one decent Test knock in more than 10 years of touring Australia.

His fans will forever hype that T20 win but other than that he's as bad as Sachin tendu as a captain lol.

That T20 win was all Bumrah. No bowlers in the history of the game has performed at such a level in an ICC tourney. And he was backed up by Arshdeep, Pandya and Axar. Rohit's captaincy and team selections were poor as he kept likes of Jaiswal out of the team and didn't even have Rinku in the squad. We won inspite of Rohit, not because of him.

We won because the saffers choked. Plain and simple. 24 from 20 with like 7 wickets remaining is easy peasy.

Poor Bumrah, with a half competent team he would have won much more than he has. Rohit and Kohli are so shameless. I thought we had seen the worst with Tendulkar and Dhoni but these two take the cake.

Both facts can coexist.

1. Bumrah bowled a legend's spell under immense pressure, in almost all the games but more importantly on the tail end of the Final. It would be amiss to not call out Pandya and Arshdeep with their own ability to have icy nerves.

2. Saffers 100% choked as they always do.

another simple reason for winning, apart from our bowlers, was grade A SA chokers.

Bumrah's entire career has been sacrificed at the altar of these two chokers. Look at Aussie pacers like Cummins and Starc. They're nowhere near Bumrah but have won 2 ODI WCs (2015, 2023), 1 WT20 (2021), WTC (2023) and now the BGT. All because they received support from their batters such as Steve Smith, Warner and Travis Head.

Whereas our so called "King" and "Hitman" choked every single time when the opportunity came for them to make a difference and Bumrah has nothing much to show. Even the WT20 he won was despite these two where Bumrah was so immense that even these two leeches couldn't hold him back. That's the real legacy of these two - choking when it matters, riding on Bumrah's coat tails, and dragging the team down.

And Bumrah enabled that choke. If there's no Bumrah Saffers don't choke. Bumrah let the cat out amongst the pigeons, and to their credit Pandya and Arshdeep stepped up.

But our so called "seniors" had all but delivered another failure at the big stage.

not really. SA choke against just about any team - they don't need bumrah-level players to "enable" it. Look at all the ODI WCs where they choked against some good, but also some mediocre, opposition - such as 2011 ODI WC vs NZ (a weak team that got thrashed by SL in SFs)

They don't choke if you replace Bumrah with Avesh Khan in that match.

Bumrah accelerated their choke, but the SA team has lost against Ned in 2022 WT20 in a virtual KO match. they are capable of choking even against Avesh.

I am glad we had a very good bowling lineup, but in the end, I give SA as much "credit" for us winning the WT20 as our own efforts

And that Blinder from SKY. Also blinder from Axar saved us against Australia. He was witless against them too.

Axar has very solid temperament in all formats.
