I agree with the bold.  The last time we were whitewashed at home was in 2000..against RSA in a 2 match series. But that was an amazingly strong RSA team.

Since then we have mostly whitewashed teams at home.  We can never ever win away in NZ and Eng or any SENA country for that matter till - Rohit, Virat and perhaps even KL are dropped.  As Rahane showed during his captaincy in Aus after 36 a.o---there is a lot of talent and heart in the Indian reserves.

 

I would rate any ICC tournament 10X more than a bilateral ODI series...plus winning the CT that is supposedly hosted by padosis makes it especially sweet.

ICC tournaments win is special but CT is bottom of the barrel stuff.

Even Asia Cup has some bragging rights attached to it but not CT especially when 50 overs WC exist.

 

SENA away test series win can only be surpassed by a ODI and T20 WC.

After that WTC final

I was talking about ODIs only. In Test, Ashes was the test for Baz and they couldn't win even at Home. In LOIs, he will be sacked soon the way they are going.

Correction: Eng beat NZ 2-1 in NZ.  (Eng lost the 3rd test to NZ by a whopping 423 runs. That's Eng's worst ever test defeat.  Although they won the series).
