Ultimate_Game Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Happened when Jadeja ran down the pitch in celebration after taking a wicket. And the gora commie went "umpires need to do their job and warn Jadeja against running on danger area". The comment reeked of biterness and hatred. You had to hear it to see how p*ssed off goras are at India doing well. This was like any other wicket celebration. Literally every bowler in the world does that and even NZ bowlers did the same in today's match itself. I wish an Indian commie would've gone "can you show me footage of NZ bowlers' celebration" and then "maybe umpires should've warned and penalized NZ bowlers for their transgressions". This is taking things to a different level. We know how much western folks (read goras) hate India dominating cricket. They wish they could go back to how cricket used to be run before 2000s with Eng and Aus calling the shots. They still haven't come to terms with change in power dynamics. We're seeing them go about undermining Indian performances by saying India has an advantage by playing in Dubai. Yet they never said anything when India had to play their matches on those poor wkts in NY, or when WTC finals are always scheduled in England favoring SENA teams, or when all the WCs were held in England. It's similar to back-handed compliments by Vaughan commenting "India was a better team in these conditions". But they never say that Eng is only good in English conditions and cr@p everywhere. But today reeked of desperation and going way below the belt, and it was like finding any excuse to undermine Indian team and players. Wish BCCI grow a spine and force WTC finals to be played in India and doing everything they can to truly kick their sorry asses. Lost all respect for these goras as earlier I used to think that maybe they have a point. Not anymore. They're just jealous and bitter folks who want them to rule cricket once again. Chamsi 1

They're just jealous and bitter folks who want them to rule cricket once again. it doesn't bother me. On the flip side, the Indians on the panel are more or less BCCI establishment spokesmen rather than objective commentators. It's no surprise if there is a bit of a pushback since the way Bhogle, Gavaskar and Co. sometimes make the whole event feel extremely India centric which is hard for a neutral to relate to or feel comfortable with. A successful team will always have detractors - nothing to do with Goras etc etc. it is objectively true that the whole event has been set up with disproportionate focus towards the Indian TV market and you cannot expect other countries to all be happy with it. The champions trophy as it stands is a strange mish mash of naked commercialism and some jugaad managing to create a product designed for the Indian TV market without India agreeing to set foot in the host country and playing all matches in one stadium including the final. It is a genuinely weird setup and clearly all constructed around the preferences of the Indian board and government. Just don't expect other countries to be happy with it since clearly a different set of rules apply to India Lord 1

But today they went one further and came up with something which literally every team in the world does. Probably what grind my gears was that no other commie, especially the Indian ones pushed back. Somebody should've chimed in saying everyone does it and nothing to see here. But nobody did and sort of alludd as if Jadeja was cheating and trying to get undue advantage when NZ and other players do it all the time.

Make it definitive - say if 15 or 20% of the ball is hitting the stumps it's OUT else NOT OUT irrespective of the on-field call. On-field call goes against us in crucial games the same way Hockey refs go against us time and again. Conscious and Unconscious Bias is a real thing and it's time BCCI recognize it and does something about it. Don't want to see Head getting umpire's call in his favor or Gill getting the wrong end of another umpire's call to change the match.
maniac Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 India does have an advantage. This is foolish scheduling. Obviously neighbors and goras have a khunnas against India and it always comes out but there is a legitimate point here. 2 teams travel to Dubai from Pakistan , 1 team goes back to Pakistan and plays a semi final with 1 day time. Bs scheduling which deserves legitimate criticism added with toxic khunnas I mentioned. Lord, lemsip, BlueBee and 1 other 1 3

But did you see the part which I'm referring to and taking a shot against Jadeja for simply celebrating the wicket the way literally every bowler in the world does? And did we hear similar complaints when India had to play on those pathetic pitches in NY in WT20 when Aus played all their matches in WI? Or when all of the WTC finals are held in Eng Has any SENA media member raised those points? maniac 1

When I saw him celebrating, I even my first thought was that, "wait, is it okay for him to run like that in the middle of the pitch." Though, it was a minor thought and i was very happy for Jaddu. But my doubt did not come from a place of bias or prejudice. I suppose the commentators thought of it in a similar way, and if I'm being honest, I did not even read through your entire rant; it is quite baseless from the get-go.
nitinbwj Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Was it Ian Smith ? God ! he is the most cringe biased nutjob buddhau i have ever seen in the commentary box. Dude must have broken down in tears when we beat his lucky NZ side today .

Number Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 (edited) It was Simon Doull actually. That was one off when he got a wicket. Won't a fielder step on danger area if he has to take a catch in case the ball is lobbed up there ? Edited March 2, 2025 by Number

They probably thought NZ would easily chase 250 and were upset when they couldn't handle spinners. Commenting that umpire should do their job and give a warning to Jadeja was more than just being a commentator.
Prabhdeep Singh Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Re: Dubai pitch Since 2013, India has reached semi finals as a bare minimum in icc white ball tournaments in 10/11 tournaments. I am not sure what perceived difference it would have made if India played elsewhere. Ultimate_Game and Manucrick 2
