On-dimensional players like Siraj and Chahal have been the reason why we sucked in ICC tourneys. Unless you're like Bumrah or Varun C, you need to be able to bat and field well. That's why we need likes of Axar, Pandya bros, Riyan, Abhishek etc. who can both bat and roll their arm over for a few overs.

 

I don't see any place for Siraj in white-ball cricket and the way things are going, he should be kicked out from the Test team as well.

Selectors should identify young pacers to bowl along with Bumrah and Siraj.

 

Selectors should fast track Ashok Sharma as he the only pacer who has played the full season and now selected for A team.

 

Gurnoor also looks very promising and has all the tools to succeed

Do you forget the 140+ deliveries at the end of a tiring tour at the end of the last  match , last day, last hour when everything hanged on him. The problem is his brain is wired only for near death performances, when everything is okay he relaxes and let's others do the work .. when he should be leading then ... He hangs back ...

Yes that post was made just before that terrific last test which started on 2nd Aug,I think,agree he was all fired up and bowled 145+ in the last day of the test playing all 5 tests,it was actually' premium' fast bowling
