Gollum Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Pakistani hockey teams for the forthcoming Asia Cup tournament in Bihar's Rajgir and FIH men’s Junior World Cup later in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai are going to be allowed to participate. Clearance for allowing the Pakistani teams to come to India was given by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the visa process for the players has been initiated. Diljit starred in a movie with a Pak actress where most of the film shoot was already completed before Pahalgam. Hania also never openly criticized Hinduism the way Afridi did. Not to forget Afridi's constant statements on Kashmir, his cousin getting killed in Kashmir terrorism etc What is Diljit supposed to do? Reshoot all the scenes involving Hania with another actress? That'd increase the movie budget by a lot and you won't get the call sheets and dates of all the involved actors who'd be working in other movies. Targeting Diljit, banning him, while allowing all this other ****, is extremely poor optics. Vajpayee's coalition govt was under tremendous pressure to prove itself 'secular'. It did some stupid PR exercises to do so but it never ever fell to level of M appeasement that Congress did. What erks me today is the same people who were crying for a 'deescalation' and friendly relations with Pak are now saying that we 'surrendered' against Pak. BTW BJP's alliance with PDP was just to make grounds for the removal of A370. They needed to be in power in J&K assembly to pass bills. It was infact a political masterstroke. Can't believe you are counting that as an L.
