Similar stupid allegations are made against Jaishankar's son just because he is based in the US.  People live in the US on Greencard and hold the Indian passport choosing to  NOT forgo Indian citizenship.

Allegations were genuine and entire RW was after Jaishankar after this.  His son works with ORF and ORF has ties with known US assets.  This is direct breach of conflict of interest.

I think this has messed up Jaishankar's chances in future cabinet role.  He will be slowly removed too.

Just compiling some tweets that come up with half baked conjectures doesn't make it factual.  What do you mean by " US Assets " ?

Are you some sort of conspiracy theorist ? This way every Us company having offices and assets in India should be a  " Us asset " right ?

Many global think-tanks or research institutes establish overseas branches or affiliate organizations to expand their geographic footprint. ORF also has branches or affiliates in other regions (e.g. Middle East) to engage regionally. Having multiple locations helps them maintain a global presence. Whats wrong in that ?

Infact, Being in Washington, D.C. gives ORF greater access to U.S. governmental, academic, and think-tank communities. It enables engaging directly in U.S. foreign policy debates, influence, partnerships, and collaboration. ORF America produces research on U.S., India, and international policy, so being on the ground helps.

How is it a conflict of interest for Jaishankar ?

The current administration has adopted a certain approach - treating all allies super harshly - including Europe, Korea and Japan - infact Japan's PM resigned due to the humiliating deal that they were forced to sign up.

India is one of the rare countries standing up and not budging an inch - despite not having the leverage that China has.

Frustrated with this, the admin is coming up with harsher negotiation tactics - Piyush Goyal is leaving for Us on the 22nd and this is to put pressure on India on the eve of his departure.  To come up with random allegations based on twitter gossip makes zero sense. It has been known for a while that Dhruv Jaishankar works for the ORF.

Lol bro list is long... These guys should be last ones talking about Make in India.. without pointing out this hypocrisy there will be no change in Indian politics nor the condition of this country.

Goyal is getting cooked online after this statement.   Accountability is needed in this country.  Congress ki ho chuki hai and they duly got thrashed for that reason.

Dushyant singh is in india. Is this list "current" or where they hae studied in the past?

Most of these guys ( except Jyotiraditya Scindia )  are in their late 60s and 70s and their kids studied abroad several years back.

Whats wrong in getting foreign exposure through education and work experience ?  Is it written anywhere in the constitution that if your children studied abroad you can't be a minister or in the govt ?

China is a sworn enemy and yet Xi Jinping sent his daughter to Harvard. What would you call this ? A conflict of interest for Xi Jinping, I guess  ???  LOL.

Infact all senior CCP politburo members send their kids abroad for higher studies.

To have a US citizen as your son operating on K-Street should disqualify you from the job of Minister of External Affairs. Too much backflow. You think it gives you reach to American politicians, but you instead create a path for America to control you at the highest levels.

In order to hold an OCI you cannot work in any foreign defence or law enforcement type jobs but also prohibits you from applying to any government job in India but here we have sons of Foreign Ministry not only as a US Citizen but also working at the corridors of DC..

Argument always comes back to conflict of interests.

You have very little knowledge of the law or conflict of interest or us  immigration.

Working in the US does not make anyone a citizen.  Do you have any credible citations to prove he is a citizen ? You can work in the US on a visa, have other forms of employment authorization or have a Greencard.

Manmohan Singh's youngest daughter Amrit Singh was a human rights lawyer in the us  while he was a sitting PM ,  does that sound like conflict of interest to you then ?

I know one mentioned in that list.  One of this politicians son studied abroad in past and is now working for a company abroad. He is married. This has to be very old list. That family is genuine. His relatives are also not interested in politics.

Not ideal but a different case this one.  One of those loopholes that MMS exploited.

You have made repeated claims that Jaishankar's son is us citizen.  Do you have any evidence or citation to back up your claim ?

Do you know that one can be a Greencard holder with a full fledged Indian passport and ability vote in India?

Whoever prepared this list has no clue about politics and has no relevance in politics, hence incomplete and outdated. So many names missing and so old it is. I laughed at this. List prepared by Congress supporter and cannot evn make a proper updated one. Shoddy work.

CCP has zero accountability towards its citizens..  you ask for accountability you will get rolled over by a Tank in Tianamen square... So not ideal example

You made the claim - not once but repeatedly - so the burden of proof lies with you. Law 101.

Otherwise tomorrow someone can claim tomorrow that you are a serial rapist and you will have to prove that you are not.

Conflict interest allegations will work regardless of it.
