Sanju did a marlon samuels for us.. we should forever be grateful for such cricketers.. irfan pathan, amarnath, gambhir are not stars or superstars but won us world cups

He went one level above.  He played all 3 roles of RP Singh vs SA , yuvraj vs Aus, Gambhir vs Pakistan.

I have been watching cricket for 30 years now. I have seen back to back match winning innings from Indian players before.

 

But never before I have seen a batter just stand up in 3 back to back knock out games. That too World cup games. QF, SF and Final. All selfless innings without care of personal milestones. Taking the team to a world cup win. This is as unique,  and clutch bunch of peformances of consequence, as a batter can give. For me this is the top in white ball cricket. There has been nothing like it.

So satisfying to witness our keepers Kishan and Samson gifting us WT20 title.   These two hv absolutely destroyed Pant's T20 career. I am a big hater of Pant (in T20 format) for obvious reasons.  At the same time, big fan of him in tests.
