Again good data to look at, A lot can be deduced how team is playing. if the opener are not playing the middle overs then other Ind batters are not showing much of intent hardly any 1 hitting 150+ sr . ball per boundary is nearly 6 balls its like they are only hitting 1 boundary per over and balls per 6 is 12+ so mostly 4s

shows jaiswal slows down in mo, even though he is an opener and already has played lot of balls (in terms of t20).

Surprised to see only tilak and pant sr in 140s in the mo .

Ind need to work on hitting 6s in mo.

This is just an abstract data to look for patterns. It doesn't factor in things like who they scored against, whether it is bilateral or a tournament or crucial game or not. If you add weight age Tilak is likely to Trump others.  But quantifying these things will do injustice to those who was unfairly not given chances.  But we can correlate these data with our observation. We do observe Tilak getting stuck. But his six hitting ability allows him to take the game deep. Not something that Axar can do. Let me come up with a similar stat for death overs.

tilak gets stuck if he does not start his innings with some momentum behind him. He lack power and off-side game to get boundaries effortlessly.

If he tries then he can maintain his sr but doing by just playing low risk is not possible for him because of lack of or less developed off-side game and power to play in off-side..

Axar is not a hitter, he a bowler who can bat and wont give-up. but when the condition req. him to go all out while batting he can not do that he has limitation be it power or game in general but if there is batter with him he can give strike and play few calculated shots. He can target spin but hoping he is going to get multiple boundaries in an over is flase expectation.

Right now Apart from Abhishek (he has limitation with unexpected sharp bouncer ) ever Ind batter has some limitation. The thing is Ind does not produce power hitter and without power you need batters who can access both off and leg sides for that need modern shots and hardly any1 play modern shots.

take gill he has no shot but he has added nothing, ramp is the easiest shot to add when a batter does not have power game, same for pandaya he has not added ramp shot.

Barring Gill and to some extent Axar all of them have decent enough power in today's small grounds world over

Tilak has hit some huge sixes ,even Sundar has worked on his power game

Samson is another one, packs immense power

Sundar has no power game, the observation is based on 1 game where he got 4 sixes, he has always struggled in t20 batting. Hence was never a stable playing-11 member of any IPl side.

In that match vs Aus, it was bespoke condition,  Ind was behind the target so he had to take risk, his weight is aways on back-foot (not a good thing unless batter have v,fast wind up like baseball batter are example of that and in cricket take tim sifert) , there was 130-135ish kmp bowler who bowled in only area where sundar has some power or ability to hit 6s.

Ind batter just makes it wrt to power game its like passing mark were 40, they got  45. If top4/5 t20i teams compare Ind would be last one in-terms of power game and to add to that they do not have modern t20 shots.

Tilak is a bit of Kohli/MSD. Just press the button at the right time. Seen in two matches. One against England in a tough game. Him and Sundar stepped up. In the Asia cup final. He and Samson stepped up followe dby Dube. He just needs a right ally.  We also have to understand Tilak was way more aggressive last year. Moment Gill came into the side his game was impacted as he was shuffled all over.He has much higher ceiling in T20. Not so much in other formats where strike rotation is key.

Gill has refined his technique to be a good percentage technique cricketer. He was playing lofted shots in 2023. Now he has worked a bit on his game. I don't really want him to undo all the hard work he put into become a test batsman. I have criticism for his soft runs in ODI and lack of range in T20. But i respect his hard work in Tests. This is why they should have left him to handle just 2 formats. They made a mess of it

Yes everyone has weaknesses this is why pairing up players is critical. Right now they just focus on left/right.   We have to make sure the attention from opposition is not on just one player.  That happens when one of the batsman is predictable and limited.  India needs  players wihth multiple gears from 1 to 7. Given the bench strength it is not hard for India to build a side. Not sure what is the purpose Axar, Sundar in T20 set up.

Suryavanshi own us a U19 World Cup for all the opportunuities he is getting in IPL and domestic cricket.

Very rarely, there is a player who is two-three level above U19 cricket.

U19 world cups are won by bowlers. Not batsmen. Sure they do their bit. Primarily it is bowling wins you.

Agree with most of things, but tilak has off-side limitation and lack of power. it works for him when he as a batter like sanju/Abhishek with him who can take care of it.

Tilak and many other Ind batters these days lacks the ability to find 4s without taking risk. Compare tilak to Wi batter but with lot less power game and ability of not to give up and in situation getting stuck. He is similar in that fashion where he can not drive the ball to a 4 or get runs in that way. Hence he has constant need to play shot and when he is unable to do so he gets stuck. And this is a problem with many Ind batters now.

Kolhi is far superior vs pace, the issue with him is his inability to hit spin consistency thats where his game suffers and other thing is self-preservation.

Its nt for sundar but for off-spinners in general there is no place for them in white-ball cricket. Its better ho have some1 dart the balls in using negative line and play on batters' ego.

Axar is purely there because Ind didnt have a wrist spinner for a long time and those Ind have cannot bat a bit.

Gill still needs to score some good runs vs good team, he still looks like bad version of babar.

They are gearing up for same 1-bad day game, like U19 Asa cup. The day batting does nt show up , do they have the bowling to bring it back...???

This is where SKY's terrible form was screwing up. 2 years back entire team would focus 50% of their attention on SKY. Bit on Rohit, Kohli.  now that he is the weakest link it makes the life easy for opponents to target youngsters. SKy needs an ultimatum. He is hogging a vital spot without doing anything. Expectation from him is out of 120 balls he should bat atleast 25 balls on an average score 45 to 50. But that hole is being covered by Abhishek for now. It is not sustatinable.

Yes he was the one who can play both spin and pace,no obvious weakness. but now his form or teams have found something not sure. but he has let go of his off-side game.

not sure whats with him and big/icc games does not give alot of confidence and sample size is big enough now.

Deepesh 3 wickets . He somehow gets wickets. good quality to have. And also Khilan patel is getting wickets. He is not as good as saumy pandey or  Nishant Sindhu. Passable.

Pranav Raghavendra is back playing Cooch Behar trophy for TN. Picked 5 wickets in the match. Can they still have a look at him?

Bowling looks already weak,if possible they should certainly get him
