Cricket, like life, evolves with time. The 90s era hadTendulkar, Kumble, Srinath, Dravid

It was built on a foundation of respect for teachers, coaches, and mentors. That culture shaped discipline and character, and it showed in the way those players carried themselves on and off the field.

But today’s generation operates in a different ecosystem. The game is faster, more commercial, and results driven. Should have/ would have ,are moral lessons, but the reality is that modern cricket demands practicality fitness benchmarks, data analytics, mental conditioning, and instant adaptability

Respect is still important but it’s no longer expressed in the same traditional ways.

Why should someone go in to fix a mess caused by a duffer like Gambhir ? 

 

Gambhir won't allow Laxman to have free reign even if the coaching positions are split.
