bsriharsha Posted January 28 Posted January 28 And time to secure T20 tournaments with all the countries that are planning to play in Pakistan, Bangladesh. Sure initially they might have to send mixed teams to honour the agreements but later on , revenue will tell and they will simply forego Pakistan / Bangladesh agreements altogether

Gaurav Arya has this show where he just insults Pakistanis. I felt he over does it but when I see examples like above I tend to align with him. I see these as concerted PR effort. It isn’t that he is expecting US to say that they will intervene on Pak behalf or condemn India. the point of these interactions is drive the narrative of victimhood, show how India the larger power is using it an unfair manner. A BD journalist would continually pose questions on Indian politics some time ago in a negative way. They have consciously been attempting to rebrand all their internal terror problems as Indian sponsored, claim they are victims of Indian sponsored terror. It’s an attempt to turn the tables on India which was seen as victim of pak sponsored terror after 26/11. Edited January 31 by IndianRenegade raki05, Tillu and jf1gp_1 1 2
NameGoesHere Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I hope the Pakistanis boycott the tournament. Do it you jumped up upstarts, let’s see some b@lls. And watch as a firestorm unleashes on you. They don’t have the capacity or capability to lead in any positive way, in any sphere in life. But they imagine themselves as leaders anyway. So go ahead ya morons, make my day. Tillu and raki05 1 1

jf1gp_1 Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 Please dont PACO -- now stick to your stand. After today planned Women WC in pak is done. Gives excuse to sena not to travel to pak. Now we get free points against pak forever.
jf1gp_1 Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Looks like PCB, Naqvi and Sharif and Munir all set to do a U turn. After all the bravado all set to play India. Pakistanis don't have any self respect. Icc will throw some money at them which they will happily take and reverse all earlier decision.

They celebrate stealing the Asia cup, they will celebrate any compromise as making bcci bow down. ICC also seem to not have a ban of two countries in the WC. jf1gp_1 1
lemsip Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) I don't think anything will happen before the game. ICC and BCCI are purely commercial beasts and will focus exclusively to getting the match on to protect their broadcasting deals. That is their only principle. Pakistan is the most unpredictable and irrational actor of the three. They are capable of not turning up in defiance. They are currently attempting to blackmail others without having any other cards to play. Once Pakistan don't show up on the day, the ICC will have the excuse to penalise the PCB but before that it suits the PCB to keep things dangling at the "wil they , won't they " stage. Sounds hard to believe. Any negotiator worth their salt would at least get some concessions to save face with their awam before giving way! Apparently the chatter is that they are going to make 3 demands : 1. Securing financial support/prize money/participation funds for Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup (as a show of solidarity). 2. Increased revenue share for Pakistan from ICC funds, plus the resumption of bilateral series with India. 3. India must behave appropriately during the match, including Indian players following basic ethics by shaking hands with Pakistan players post-match (ending any perceived "no-handshake" standoff). They seem even more deluded than rumoured if this is true. If the ICC increase their revenue share in response to this stunt then it would just be yielding to blackmai. No other cricket board is going to vote for it. They can't make India play bilateral series if they don't want to not can they force them to shake hands. They seem to be in the midst of a manic episode Edited February 8 by lemsip rollingstoned and addicted4444 2

Pakistan demanding assurances for Bangladesh truly is peak comedy. lemsip 1
bsriharsha Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Don't know which is more sad. Pakistan bending over backwards for the country they did genocide in OR Bangladesh bending over backwards and allowing Pak to do that All because it's the ummah perhaps addicted4444 1
jf1gp_1 Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 Here is what Pakistani will never understand. If today even BCCI (forget modi) announces they won't play Pak it doesn't matter who came or went that game was never happening. What is Naqvi saying if someone comes to talk we shouldn't disappoint. Even BCB stuck to its stand. Pakistani as expected no morals.
Strangering Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I am actually feel ashamed that we were the same country before. Bhikharistanis are such an embarrassment in every way possible... Yuck jf1gp_1 and Lord 1 1
SearchlightT20 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Balls were lost in 1947. They are different from India. They don't have balls
NameGoesHere Posted February 10 Posted February 10 To the tune of the military classic, Colonel Bogie: IK, he had a one big ball Altaf, had two but very small The Marshall, to goats was partial, But poor ol’ Naqvi had no balls at all
