StraightDrive26 Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Bumrah needs to be rested and I hope some sense prevails. He should not be playing any T20s till 2028. He needs to only play Tests and some important ODI series. MI is struggling and will most probably not qualify for the play-offs, better to rest Bumrah for the rest of the tournament and ask him to go home and relax.
Ultimate_Game Posted April 17 Posted April 17 They're gonna kill Bumrah's career by bowling him into the ground. He's injury waiting to happen right now.
BacktoCricaddict Posted April 17 Posted April 17 I have a suspicion that he - and other international fast bowlers who have nothing to prove - are on cruise control in the IPL. They save their best for international cricket. And that's ok, as long as the franchise is ok with it.
Prabhdeep Singh Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Take a break from IPL, focus on the 9 test matches India has in this WTC cycle remaining, try to make WTC 2027 final. 2 vs SL in Aug 2026 2 vs NZ in Dec 2026 5 vs Aus in early 2027

Sean Bradley Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Definitely, your body can only bare as much, the heat this time around is scorching.
StraightDrive26 Posted April 29 Posted April 29 With Mumbai almost out of the play off race, Bumrah should just go home and rest. There is no point playing him in all 14 games when you have no chance of qualifying. Ultimate_Game and Manucrick 2
crictime Posted May 14 Posted May 14 A great bowler that he is, he will surely be knowing if his performance dip is due to a burnout or result of workload which is more than his body can take. Surely he is of a stature and garners enough respect to discuss such a situation with the stakeholders and take a rest. If he just says that he want's to rest, nobody is going to oppose him. It could also be a decline after achieving peak.
vvvslaxman Posted May 14 Author Posted May 14 Imagine being the only bowler in entire IPL that has an average over 100 !! It is mind boggling. He needs a break. MI management is full of idiots. They should have given him a 5 match break at the front as he had barely finished winning the world cup.
