tapandrun Posted May 16 Posted May 16 This is just 1 season, its viewership fatigue nothing else. trying to draw any relation will be false results. Nothing to do with flat wkts... etc... Most ppl watch cricket for 4s and 6s. There are 10 teams so fanbase is only 10 cities/states... rest are watching for entertainment or their fav. player or looking for new domestic talent. Other than fan/pr no one really cares if seasoned player got a ton or not if they got 5 wkts or not. The talking point for casual fan will always be some extra ordinary knock or bowling effort or a new/no-name player scoring big or bowling well. Ind just won back-to-back t20 wcs, both were exciting for Ind fans. And now seeing thier champions not doing that well in ipl may have put them off a bit. This is it, it a natural cycle , Only 1 of the top franchise is doing good rest are small market sides.
