So its no wonder that its inspired so many stories. Another example, Only odyssey being able to string the bow to prove and win his wife back is very reminiscent of what Ram does in the samyavar. New guy Posted July 30 Posted July 30 (edited) If Krishna or Rama were born today people like @kepler37b would be calling them woke and trying to burn them at the stake for his white masters Its takes a special kind of person to pretend to follow these epics and cry about feminism and wokeness, when these stories have way more women empowerment than any modern work, no modern story has the courage to depict a women having 5 husbands or entire wars fought to avenge a womans honor or God himself stepping in to respect women. Or show the main character as wrong and doomed because he disrespected his wife. Or hate trans people while following a book where Bhisma himself acknowledges Shikandi as a women inside despite having a mans body, to the extent he lays down his weapon and chooses death because he acknowledges that the male bodied shikandi is a women inside. Similarly, Arjuna as Brihinilla is considered one of the ultimate teachers in Indian history/mythology, is treated with nothing but respect throughout the story and is considered Arjun mastering feminity. Or hate equality when all our Gods have constantly spoken about treating people equally, having empathy and kindness for others who are different. In short, everything the hateful bigots call "woke". All these values were present in Indian culture way before they were taken up by west, because they realized that countries prosper when you have equality and liberal values. While we lost it and went backwards because British rule caused generations of Uncle Toms who embraced their lessons of bigotry and hatred @Gollum i wonder why the so called staunch defenders of Hinduism are the complete opposite of what Hinduism ans Ramayana and Mahabharata actually teaches?
