SachDan Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 We have heard so many of those from the likes of Richie,Greig,Lawry,Lloyd etc...which is your all time favourite from a commie? mine is " Its alllllll happeningggg here at Edgbaston" from Bill Lawry during that remarkable semi final from 1999 world cup. Since then he has used that many times too. But that day it was special....its still ringing in our ears.
goose Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 i love his response to Ishant Sharma getting Ponting's wicket. something like. 'Got him ! well done Ishant Sharma! India stands tall!!!!!!'. Brilliance.
Lurker Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 The one that I heard in live telecast: Subtract Lewis from the list - Richie Benaud 1992 finals. The one that I knew about but later saw on YouTube: Well I suppose you have got 24 to score why not do it off 4 deliveries : Richie Benaud after Kapil's sixes. The one that I did not hear(till recently) and wish I would have: Ian Botham could not get his leg over : John Agnew and Brian Johnston when Ian Botham fell on his wicket.
Holysmoke Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 If you can't get him out, injure him. -Rameez Raja, on Sachin, World Cup 2003.
DomainK Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 If you can't get him out' date= injure him. -Rameez Raja, on Sachin, World Cup 2003. He said that? In what context?
Holysmoke Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 He said that? In what context? With reference to a throw, to run Tendulkar out in the world cup 2003 game between India and Pakistan. PS- I didnt know he said that either, till yesterday. I just read a book of anecdotes on Sachin, and this was in there.

SachDan Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 it was sehwag who asked ek aur karegaa? No...Sehwag said Yeh to lagaataar dus-barah over dal detha hain!
Desi Cartman Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Sunil Doshi on DD "Matr obchariktayan reh gayi hai (only formalities remain!)"
DomainK Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 it was sehwag who asked ek aur karegaa? Sehwag had suggested to Kumble that he should give him more overs since he knows that he can bowl long spells. The Kumble asked that question that would haunt Ponting for the rest of his life.:D

mhr123 Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Ravi Shastri : " Its High, Its Handsome , Its SIX !!" Tony Greig (After Sachin hits Kasporwic for 6 ) ... "Its Six , Its Six , What a Player , What a wonderful player he is".
