Dhoni was lucky to win important tosses or else we would have lost the series atleast 4-1....this an honest feeling..not to decry any individual!
Would you have said the same had India lost 3-2 with Mahela winning all tosses ? In that scenario i bet your reaction would be drop sharma drop yuvraj useless captain, useless coach. In world where footballers celebrate fooling refree into awarding pently kick by faking a fall, Indians always manage to find excuses for a win. During the game today, despite losing the series, SL commentrator was focusing on positive yet idiots like manjerkar and arun lal were talking about how toss helped us win, how few umpiring decision went our way which helped us win. Every second jack***** is waiting to see when Indian cricket team fails next so that he can stand up, hold his head high beat his chest shouting ' i told you we arent good enough to win' Learn to atleast appreciate a wins if you cant enjoy it.

FL Scorecard for the players - India SL ODI Series For this recently concluded ODI series:

First Tier 1. Zaheer Khan: 8/10 (the architect of our wins) 2. MS Dhoni: 8/10 (good batting, his captaincy was decent, but its his batting and keeping that earns him the high score here) 3. Munaf Patel: 7/10 (this is a big surprise to me! - bowled well, fielding was decent considering his usually pathetic standards, did not get injured during the series OMG!) - well, keep it up MP and lose ur daadaaji title if you do well consistently 4. Praveen Kumar: 6.5/10 (good bowling) 5. Virat Kohli: 6.5/10 (struggled initially but came good) 6. Raina: 6.5/10 (good support in batting) 7. Harbhajan Singh: 6/10 (good support in bowling)
Second Tier 8. Pragyan Ojha: 5/10 (honorary mention for trying to do his best) 9. Badrinath: 4.5/10 (helped win the 2nd ODI) 10. Rohit Sharma: 4/10 (did good in one of the ODIs)
11. Gambhir: 2/10 (simply did not come to the party, despite attempting starts) RP Singh: too little info for this series HORRIBLE == Irfan Pathan and Yuvraj Singh (Mendis pwnage over YS, forget getting into Test team YS) Sehwag: poor chap had to miss the series, good luck next time.

Pretty simple ... to bowl well to the tail, you need a fast bowler that can bowl yorkers. Or you need a world-class spinner that is difficult to read. We dont have either of those. Until we do, this wont change. Australia have Lee and Bracken and had McGrath and Warne before SAF have Steyn Pakistan had Shoaib NZL had Bond and Vettori Sri Lanka have Murali and now Mendis. I'm hoping Zaheer Khan and Ishant can step up and be the death bowlers India need. India need to learn, when bowling to the tail, its not about bowling short of a length and moving the ball ... its about bowling yorkers and bouncers. Slower balls also work well at the death.

India slips to fifth place in ICC ODI rankings India has dropped to fifth place in the ICC ODI Championship table despite winning the away series in Sri Lanka 3-2. More... India slips to fifth place in ICC ODI rankings Dubai (PTI): Despite their historic 3-2 series-win against Sri Lanka, India has dropped to fifth place in the ICC ODI Championship table, released on Saturday. England replaced India at the fourth place and has second position within touching distance after winning three consecutive matches against South Africa in the home series. Mahendra Singh Dhoni's side had started in fourth place on 112 ratings points and finished the series in fifth place at 113. India's defeat by 112 runs by the Duckworth-Lewis Method in the fifth and final ODI however did not cost it any place after England comfortably won its third match of the five-match series by 126 runs at The Oval. Had India won the series 4-1, it would have risen to 115 ratings points as compared to Sri Lanka's 104. If England manages to complete a series sweep against South Africa, it would jump to second place on 118 ratings points while South Africa would be on equal points with New Zealand but behind the Black Caps when the ratings are calculated beyond the decimal point. If England wins the series 4-1 it will sit just behind India by a fraction of a point. In that case, South Africa will retain second place on the table but will have slipped to 119 points after starting the series on 128.

True that. Neverthless frustrating to see a 70-6, and then a 180+ or some such. We do need bowlers who can clinically remove the lower order batsmen.
