pan_walla Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 My chachu taught me from a young age to not live beyond my means. My other chachu says that in some Indian circles the peer pressure to be sucessful is very high. Academic or job failure is regarded as end of the world by some. For me failure is just the chance to start something new. When I failed my 5th class exam and dropped out of school I was considered a failure. Look at me now, rocking in my pan shop. If i ever feel down I have a conversation with my Pan leaves and then I am good as new. My old classmates pull up in front of my pan shop in their flashy BMWs and always chat about the struggle to pay off their car and high mortgage. I feel lucky in comparison, my pan shop is all paid for and I have such a low stress job.
pan_walla Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Desperate times lead to desperate measures In their moments of madness, people do things they regret for the remainder of their lives Dead people don't regret anything nor do they care what strangers online think about their actions, which is why it's called being dead :hatsoff:
Desi Cartman Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Its all due to mental illness .. there is never a good enough reason to kill anybody. I hope people learn more about mental illnesses and get them treated asap
suraj Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Its all due to mental illness .. there is never a good enough reason to kill anybody. I hope people learn more about mental illnesses and get them treated asap and for that there is a need to get rid of the stigmas associated with mental diseases
Desi Cartman Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 and for that there is a need to get rid of the stigmas associated with mental diseases absolutely. Some people still feel that they will be declared "PAGAL" if they get depression , anxiety or for that matter any other mental illness treated

pan_walla Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 http://www.betterhealthchannel.com.au/bhcv2/bhcarticles.nsf/pages/Suicide_and_mental_illness_explained I was not talking about people with actual medical conditions.... there are plenty of people who are just like you and me and one day just can't take anymore and a fuse blows. Look these days everything is given a stamp of disease X or disease Y. What I was saying was that we just need to look all around us and see that world and mother nature is very brutal. The man made imaginary/virtual line between normal man and abnormal man is lottttttttttt thinner than what "civilised" humans make it out to be.
vroomfondel Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 ugh...I just read about this and saw pictures of the kids. heartbreaking.

The man made imaginary/virtual line between normal man and abnormal man is lottttttttttt thinner than what "civilised" humans make it out to be. Some people cant see things like you and me ... because they have a condition. When people are suffering from Mental illness they over react. So an issue like losing a job can make them think about the worst outcome and then they cant sleep , eat or do anything ... they hallucinate about killing themselves and others .. that is mental illness .. being *****y at work and calling in sick is called having a bad day .. The thing to remember is that when someone has cancer, viral or herpes then he is not abnormal .. he is considered sick similarly when one has depression again he is not abnormal he has an illness Look its something which majority of people dont know much about
pan_walla Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I don't disagree with you as such. I know what you are saying and I know what you mean :winky:
EnterTheVoid Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Pan walla I've been reading some of your chachu's advice in some of the other threads A smart light bulb, your chachu is
Macj Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 this was premeditated not spur of the moment... 1st of all how many desi guys abroad owns handguns??? 1 out 1 million? I own several handguns and one shot gun. I know and understand gun ownership is a VERY sensitive issue amongst people in the US now but theyve saved my life a couple of times.
EnterTheVoid Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I own several handguns and one shot gun. I know and understand gun ownership is a VERY sensitive issue amongst people in the US now but theyve saved my life a couple of times. go on .... tell me more
beetle Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 The monster had two handguns. This has nothing to do with depression. Depressed people don't buy guns to kill not only their family but guests too.The fact that the guy had two guns means he is no seedha saadha indian techie.
Macj Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 go on .... tell me more I own a cpl of mf properties in depressed areas around the state, and more than once ive had to pull out my Kimber to kick out unwanted bums.
Macj Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I just cant understand how a parent can kill their own children. Urghh I still cant.
