gaurav92 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 we are going to face nz tracks in april when nz summer will end the conditions are not bad for cricket but i still think dat india shud be well prepared for the challenge coz they have the firepower to deliver the goods and m sure dat they will do dat talking abt each individual job assigned to each player i havve assigned sum jobs to certain players sehwag - no need to assign him any sort of job go there and bash the nz bowlers is the mantra gambhir - he shud play the anchor role and help sehwag in establishing an important partnership dravid - as he is the wall he shud protect his wicket and rotate strike well and easy and look tio stabilise the innings from one end sachin - he shud bat aggressively that means dat he is at his fluent best he shud look to punish bad balls and score off them in bulk laxman - he shud look to play his favourite shots that are leg glance and flick and whips wenwver the ball is on he padline area and comfortably go offstrike dhoni - he shud bat enthusiastically and bat all along the innings as he very often does in odis and look to keep a press with the requored run rate bhajji - he shud do much with the ball as hes a capable batter too.....shud look to vary his pace as there will be bounce on nz wickets give couple of balls a bit of air toss em up and also bowl those floaters and seam up balls with conviction as he s a champion bowler mishra - being a wrist spinner myself i think he shud not play in nzeland condition as the wrist is badly affected with the moist conditions and the track does not suit the wrist spinners as they are not baked up by sun....so irfan shud play instead of him in my view irfan - he shud open the bowling as he is only able to swing the new ball and try to keep it in the rite areas bowl tight lines and not try too much ishant - he shud come as a first change bowler and bowl wid a gud pace accurate line and length and also try to pitch the ball in the gud length area not to overpitch the ball as its too easy to drive such balls.....it shud be pitched in a way its just there too drive and can get a thin poke of the bat and caught by thewk or in the slips... zaheer khan - he shud charge in and bowl aggressively as he always does swing the new ball test the batsmen footwork with some yorkers and qiuck bouncers to get imslf on top and then try to bowl the variation balls slower ones and also the newly introduced slow puncher balls this is how the team must play to win in hamilton and auckland and wellington the three ton indicates dat GOD will score tons here as well
