vroomfondel Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Find where it's playing and watch it. I like. also, you can find the sountrack online...I would suggest googling "Slumdog ost download" and clicking I'm feeling lucky. but that's just a suggestion. AR Rahman soundtrack, with MIA...those two are such a natural fit for each other with jungle rhythms and crazybadass beats. I would have loved to see MIA with RD Burman ()

goose Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 slumdog dunno if there's a thread on this already. good film. mixed emotion coz if that's the film that's going to win international acclaim there's a load more a whole lot better esp with better music. anyone notice the dialogues sampled from deewar?
EnterTheVoid Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 ^^ must watch movie as a matter of fact, i am watching it for the dozen time and as i type this message, i am listening to the "O SAYA" track from the soundtrack everyone, do yourself a favor and watch this movie
graphic23 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 AR Rahman won the Best Composer award at the Critics' Choice Awards! :D :D :D :D :D I hope he gets the Golden Globe for Best Original Score as well. :-) Very shy person on stage and as he left, he said - "This is for India!" :yay: :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
flamy Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 With teh way Slumdog turned out, I cannot wait for Shantaram :yay:
Lurker Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 With teh way Slumdog turned out' date=' I cannot wait for [b']Shantaram :yay: I am not too optimistic about Shantaraam, the movie. The book is great and is quite voluminous really. Would be extremely hard to put it down in a movie.
Guest Hiten. Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I'm putting all my eggs on Johnny Depp Johnny depp rocks!!!! :yay: Johnny depp and Christian Bale to star in Public enemies :eyedance::eyedance:
graphic23 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 this song ? come on ARR has done much much better in the past Yah. Agreed. Actually, my favorite in SM is Mausam and Escape - the instrumental. And 'Riots' is also quite good. Dreams on Fire is good too.
satishg Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 just saw the video of ARR receiving the critic choice award..he is really shy..and now i am hoping that he wud get the Golden Globe too for slumdog..go ARR :yay::icflove:
Lurker Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Beautiful music overall. My only disappointment, if thats the right word, is that ARR has started to invoke a lot of non-Indian music in his works and quite often the non-Indian part overtakes the Indian part. Still a nice album. Jai ho is my favorite song from the movie. I am partial to it because of the fact Gulzar still manages to churn out gems like only he can. Ratti ratti sachchi maine jaan gawayi hai Nach Nach koylon pe raat bitaayi hai Ankhiyon ki neend maine phoonkon se udaa di Gin gin taarey maine ungli jalayi hai Gin gin taarey maine ungli jalayi hai!! The last of the freaking geniuses :hatsoff::hatsoff:
