iHammad Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Now that's a good start. :two_thumbs_up: what do u mean?
siddhu Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 The reason I don't like Shahrukh is because he has the same expression whether he is playing a loverboy, tapori, or asoka. the same laughing pattern and the same annoying stuttering laughter (seemed OK in Darr but not anynore)... His sense of timing while acting is pretty good, but if he is playing a different person, I want to see that person on the screen and not Shahrukh. Although I did like him till DDLJ, after that its been pretty much the same. Salman is also pretty much the same in all his roles and a crappy actor TBH. I prefer Aamir as an actor any day (after Big B ofcourse).
nikred Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 what do u mean? I feel songs break the tempo of a movie. I don't like songs in movies. I am talking about the ones that make zero contribution to the story.

yoda Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 SRK My only complaint about him is his obsession to get Pak/Muslim players into his Kolkatta team. It was too damn obvious and has put a damper on my admiration of him, not because I hate Paks/Muslims, because it shows clear bias on his part and makes me wonder if he is one of those who puts religion above country. Otherwise as actor, I just love his movies unlike most here. DLDJ, KBKG, Veer-Zara, Dilse, Dar, OSO, ... I have always found his movies to be total entertainment barring a few flops. Here is hoping that this Khan movie shows me more of the latter and less/none of the former.
riya Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I don't agree that SRK is a bad actor. He was type casted, his mistake only.Otherwise he started off well with Fauji series.Changing his gear from eccentric anti hero to hero.Has excellent comedy timings.Did very well with the good roles given to him, i am really impressed with Chak de.. and Swades.Didn't show any of his typical mannerisms. At the end of all, society will get what it deserves. If people are happy settling with mediocrities,we will keep on getting mediocrities.
riya Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Shah Rukh looks like a monkey. Hmm...still he is rich and succesful and famous. Rajnikanth looks old and strange, still a huge superstar.Mohanlal looks like an elephant, still one of the finest actors as well as a hugely successful actor in his own industry. There is not so much meaning in looks.Certain people can charm others!

No one type casted him, it was him who opted to chose films with BS love drama repeatedly. He is a fine actor and was terrific in Swades and Chak de (two of his best films IMO). Difference between him and Aamir is that AK never accepts a script that is anything similar to his last release and this is what makes AK a better actor than SRK.
Sachinism Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 SRK rocks!! Fav actor for ppl in PAk......... What? I thought people of Pak didn't watch bollywood films
nikred Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 What? I thought people of Pak didn't watch bollywood films Depends on the topic that's being discussed. If its an anti-india thread then they hate bollywood. :cantstop:
EnterTheVoid Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 We Muslims in the West enjoy more than we can in the draconian, barbaric [] we come from, yet we're always the victims. No halal food, not enough mosques, no growing of beards yak yak yak Whatever. Either fit in or **** off.
