IPL surely is trying to globalize itself, but the fact still remains to attract as many Indians as possible. I mean with a population of 1 billion, if IPL is successful in gathering say 30% of the total population as their permanent fans, it would ensure IPL packed stadia and a huge line up of sponsorers. As long as Indian cricketers feature in the IPL, our crowd will be more than happy to attend IPL games regardless of anyone missing the boat (in this case/year: pakistani players).

Younis has remarked correctly. if Afridi plays in IPL next edition, he would swing his bat so violently that the fans sitting in the stadium would be thrown out by the sheer force of the wind power of his shoulder and the resultant bat speed . so, Younis is right. let the respective franchisees save their fans instead of losing them for ever.

It is perfectly defensible. We should do this across the board. You cant grant concession for Pakistani employees regardless of their social status. I want ESPN India to fire Wasim Akram. (Though' date= Akram is one Pakistani player i respect immensely) I want to see reputed Pakistani players appear on Geo TV and explain it to their public what terrorism is costing their country. The higher the status of the individuals impacted, the stronger will be the message. Ofcourse, all this could cause more bitterness among the Pakistanis. But its not like our diplomatic relations are any better otherwise. I have a feeling that our govt has had enough and BCCI is also on board. We will soon see measures in place to constrict Pakistan in all ways. Hit them where it hurts and hard!
