SachDan Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 After the nail-biter at MCG teams move on to Hobart,Pwnting's hometown for 2nd ODI !! Much hyped David Warner to make his ODI debut since Clarke has been ruled out of the remaining matches with a thumb injury. For South Africa AB de Villiers returns to the squad in place of Van Jaarsveld.Steyn is yet to recover from the minor shoulder injury he picked up during the MCG match.Ntini likely to replace him. Go Saffies !! make it 2-0 :two_thumbs_up: PS. day match
cowboysfan Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 geez-the saffers must have had butter chicken before the match.
putrevus Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 this aussie team is so weak,no hayden no gilli they are finding how difficult to score 300 without them. wish they could tour india now for odis so we can whitewash them
fineleg Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Well done, South Africa. Marsh and Ponting were going for broke and Australia seemed on par for 305 or so but those two batsmen were sent back in relative succession and therein started an unusual slide from Australia. South Africa suddenly started catching stuff and the bowlers tidied up, and Australia had no options of scoring. The batting Powerplay, taken late in the innings, was an utter disaster for Australia. They lost big wickets inside it and no batsman was able to accelerate at the death. Just one boundary in the last 10 overs and three in the last 20.@SA It is still a good total, but not a great one.
ludhianvi Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 well, I thought the match was tomorrow, cricinfo stumped me. Marsh continues to perform
f.b.m Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 How is Ryan Harris? Anyone? Edit: Cricinfo is reporting decent speeds for him. Somewhere in the mid 140s.
Guest Hiten. Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I think its pretty hard for SA to win from here. $4 million paani mein doob gaye :((
f.b.m Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Very silly middle overs batting probably cost the match for SA.
Guest Hiten. Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 17 off 6. Hilfenhaus to bowl the last over
suraj Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Aussies win Boucher surely screwed up the match for SA, if only he had gotten out earlier and Morkel was in SA wud have won
fineleg Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 usually Boucher does well in scoring quick runs, but today was different boucher!
