DomainK Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I have cooked rice in microwave, in pressure cooker and in a pan. The first two are really easy as long as you know the proportions of rice and water and the time to leave it on. The third can be tricky, but you learn with time. And I am going to give you all a solid complex- I can also cook Maggie, Papad and eggs.
theguyinallblue Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 Domaink... Soon i am gonna try Papad also.... i think..we just need to brush a layer of Oil on papad..and microwave it for 30-40 seconds...will try it
DomainK Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 And I am inspired into making some coffee. BTW did I tell you guys that I can make coffee and tea as well?

Mr. Wicket Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Can someone tell me how to cook rice using the microwave? What is the proportion of water that must be used and how long we must cook it for. In the microwaveable rice cooker I use, it's normally 8-9 minutes for 1 cup of rice, 12 minutes for 2 cups or 15 1/2 for 3 cups. Ratios are: 1 cup rice : 1 1/4 cups water if it's aged white basmati 1 cup rice: 1 1/2 cups water for any other white rice 1 cup rice: 2 cups water for any brown rice, and sometimes an extra minute in the microwave.
Guest dada_rocks Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Time now to graduate to Spanish rice.. ( try jasmine rice not basmati for spanish rice recipe you can get through simple google) it goes well with chilly chicken
