As far as Munaf goes, just the word "return" is sensational enough Your english teacher probably didn't watch enough cricket :cantstop: P.S It was the headline on HT news - it said Munaf to return back to India ( touche )
Here is the full news: Munaf Patel to return home due to an injury © Cricket Nirvana Monday, February 02, 2009 11:32:41 AM Mumbai: India pacer Munaf Patel is on his way back home after being ruled out of the remainder of the tour of Sri Lanka due to a groin injury. The bowler suffered the injury during India's six-wicket victory in the first ODI of the Wealthsurance Cup against Sri Lanka on January 28. Munaf, who is now on his way back, is expected to head straight to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore for a medical checkup. Either Praveen Kumar or Irfan Pathan will fill into the shoes of third seamer with Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma leading the charge for India. However, the Indian management has not named any replacements so far. India lead the five match ODI series 2-0, with the third match scheduled to be played on Tuesday (January 3). _________________________ There aren't any seamers left who can be named as replacement anyway! Sree : Not fit RP : Not fit Untried: Not anyone impressive.

Balaji returns to Team India to replace Munaf More... Balaji returns to Team India © Cricket Nirvana Monday, February 02, 2009 11:59:48 AM Mumbai: Tamil Nadu fast bowler Laxmipathy Balaji is set to join the Indian team for their ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka after Munaf Patel was rendered unfit on Monday due to a groin injury. Munaf is to return home for rehabilitation, and will take at least 7 to 10 days to be fully fit. The team management has asked for a replacement. The members of the National Selection Committee decided to send Balaji to Sri Lanka, following a teleconference. Balaji will fly to Sri Lanka tonight. The pacer last played one-day cricket for India way back in August 2005. He has claimed 34 wickets in 29 ODIs in his career that was disrupted due to a career-threatening injury in 2005. Balaji enjoyed a fabulous season in the Ranji Trophy 2008-09 - claiming 36 wickets at 17.50 - including four 5-wicket hauls. He bowled Tamil Nadu to victory in the quarter final against Bengal with a spell of 6-24 in the second innings. He last played Test cricket for India in March 2005.

balaji? are they mad' date='better to blood some youngsters like dinda or kulkarni[/quote'] The chairman of selectors is from Chennai. Can't you see that much? But I'm glad that Balaji got an opportunity. Hope he gets chosen in the final XI to show what he can or can't do. That'll clear a lot of things up.

What a horribly parochial comment by Chandan! Wow! Did not expect chandan will say a regionalistic statement like this. Is Ojha from Chennai, is Mishra from Chennai, is Rohit Sharma from chennai? These folks also got opportunities in Cheeka's time.
