Willow_on_fire Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Mumbai/Gifts_for_Muthalik_Condoms_chaddis/articleshow/4108756.cms MUMBAI: It doesn't take a fortune teller to predict that Shri Ram Sena leader Pramod Muthalik will receive the maximum Valentine's Day presents this year. At the time of going into print, the Pink Chaddi campaign that kicked off on February 5 already had over 10,000 members. And the numbers are only growing. Created as a response to the Shri Ram Sene's violent assault on women in a Mangalore pub, this group has already started getting contributions form all over the country. Not only women, men too have promised to send pink underwear for the cause. The list of presents isn't limited to chaddis alone. There's khadi underwear, V-day cards, chaddis with love messages, dunce caps, a DVD of Mira Nair's film Fire, pictures of semi-nude sadhus from the Kumbh Mela, the Cosmopolitan cocktail, Cupid's bow and arrow, a copy of the Kamasutra (both the book and the movie) and condoms! :haha: The Pink Chaddi campaigners - who call themselves a Consortium of Pubgoing, Loose and Forward Women - have already started getting threatening calls to stop their activities. Susan Thomas, journalist and the founder-creator of the group says the callers claim to be from the RSS. "The Ram Sena calls us women from indecent families. I want to ask if Lord Ram would ever approve of woman bashing?'' she says. The campaign has become so popular that support has come in from the US, UK, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, Belgium, China, Portugal, Germany and even Pakistan. Some people want to send chaddis from across the border. Graphic designers, web designers, film makers, bloggers and cartoonists are creating anti-Muthalik messages, videos, songs and games. Feminists are comparing the `panty-social activity' to the Bra Burning Movement and Take Back The Night, both of which asserted a woman's right to freedom in public spaces. Other groups with similar agenda are coming together to spread their message. One such group is Fight Back which was founded after the attack on women outside Mumbai's JW Marriot hotel on New Year's eve last year. Members have set up the Woman's Labyrinth at the Kala Ghoda festival. This maze created using lots of saris highlights the obstacles in a woman's life. Even Muthalik's single status has been laughed at."He (Muthalik) is so pained by his bachelor status that he wants all young men and women to get married as soon as possible,'' reads an online message by Bangalore-based Musten Jiruwala. A parent of a teenaged daughter, Jiruwala thinks it is his job to make sure his daughter can live in a fear-free society. On his group called, `Get well soon, Mamu (Mr Pramod Muthalik and his ilk)' he writes, "Why did Mr Muthalik choose Valentine's Day for his campaign? He heard it was Violent Time Day. Love can heal his hearing. Express your love now. Get well soon, Mamu.'' :hysterical:

flamy Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 not as innovative as molesting women at a pub to protest against molestation of women at pubs :yikes: :haha::haha::haha::haha:
Guest dada_rocks Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 not as innovative as molesting women at a pub to protest against molestation of women at pubs :yikes: For that even this chump has apologized it was not their intention and charges of molestation are little far-fetched.. beating we all saw happened since these clowns credibility is zero so any claim can be made and expected to stick....For instance some girl was kidnapped and without due diligence everyone accused sri ram sena and people even bought it which was found to be wrong .... I am not saying beating is oke even touching is not allowed but just to make it clear.. that was your usual media adding its own spin
THX_1138 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Haha, awesome. I have a lot of pink chaddis I can send They should also send him tickets to the Vagina Monologues or a DVD of the same. vagina monologues are not offensive or for that fact anyway too "uncultured". unless of course, ram sena abhors the idea of self reflective genitalia.
Centrino Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 The power of pink chaddi Women throughout the world — 13,000 at latest count — will be sending Pramod Mutalik a pair of pink panties for Valentine's Day. But these undies won't make his heart go pitty-pat. Mutalik is the leader of Sri Ram Sena (Lord Ram’s Army) — an extreme right-wing organization in India that purports to be the “custodians of Indian Culture.†http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,490690,00.html lol...i also heard some minister got tons of candies and flower as he threatned to jail people celebrating valentine's day. Apparently he will be sending all these women SAri's as return gift...:--D Anyway this is a stupid, hallmark created holiday...
