rkt.india Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Shaun Marsh would have been much better, did well in SL too.
Lord Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Shaun Marsh would have been much better' date=' did well in SL too.[/quote'] Bailey,Ferguson should play Tests too imo
SLICKR392 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Shaun Marsh would have been much better' date=' did well in SL too.[/quote'] Marsh is a must. Just one series and they write him off.
Crookbond Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Apparently, Hughes hasn't score a run of the spinners in the series. Can anyone confirm?
Crookbond Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Bailey' date='Ferguson should play Tests too imo[/quote'] Callum Fergusson? Even your robot stats theory is against him playing Test matches! Usman Khawaja or Shaun Marsh look much better prospects in Test matches.
Precambrian Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Apparently' date=' Hughes hasn't score a run of the spinners in the series. Can anyone confirm?[/quote'] Didnt he score a single off aswin in tge first test?
SLICKR392 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I've said this a few times; the kid's a legend in the making. Not the most classical technique, so what? Solid, assured, cool headed and mature beyond his years with a wonderful range of shots, the temperament to make runs against some of the world's best bowlers on all conditions and a fearlessness that will help him become one of the great Australian batsmen. First test century three months after his 20th birthday, in his 2nd test. There are lots more ahead.
Bradman99 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 His not covering himself in much glory... that's for sure
SLICKR392 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I think he will be dropped after this series Would be a blunder IMO. He is poor in SC but might fair in conditions oversees.
Lord Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Callum Fergusson? Even your robot stats theory is against him playing Test matches! Usman Khawaja or Shaun Marsh look much better prospects in Test matches. didnt check his stats, they are surprisingly poor,so maybe I am wrong.I watched him in Shield matches couple of years back n he looked decent. Khawaja deserves a go yes, forgot him.Marsh is decent too, specially for these conditions

Crookbond Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Alan Border has already mentioned that Hughes 2012 is like Ponting 1998, 2001.
SLICKR392 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Alan Border has already mentioned that Hughes 2012 is like Ponting 1998' date=' 2001.[/quote'] He is good against pace but with that technique in SC he is going to fail miserably.
Lord Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Alan Border has already mentioned that Hughes 2012 is like Ponting 1998' date=' 2001.[/quote'] good for India:--D
Lord Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 He is good against pace but with that technique in SC he is going to fail miserably. not good against short ball too.Ponting was brilliant there
SLICKR392 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 not good against short ball too.Ponting was brilliant there Brilliant? He was the best against short balls. I remember him pwning Steyn in their tour of SA where the last match was that record 400 chase, he hammered 2-3 fours in an over of Steyn where he kept bursting in short one and punter kept pulling and hooking it.
adi B Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 forest, bailey, khawaja would be much better than hughes who`s a mug against an iota of spin
