Ram
All champions have a bit arrogance. Not surprising at all. Link to comment
satishg
he knows his team pretty damn well and thats why he boldly said wat he got to say at the toss :winky: Link to comment
nikred
Getting a bit too cheeky. You got to win but be grounded at the same time. Dhoni is not your everyday politically correct guy. He speaks his mind and doesn't fear to say things as they are. You know, I know what he said is the truth.:zoomzoom: Link to comment
mhr123
Dhoni: "It will be tricky for New Zealand because they don't know what target to set. I should be interesting to see how they bat first. Ishant Sharma comes in for Munaf Patel and Rohit Sharma replaces the injured Tendulkar." http://content.cricinfo.com/nzvind2009/engine/current/match/366624.html?innings=1;view=commentary Link to comment
Rajan
if some other captains say that it is considered as self confidence, when an indian captain says it becomes over confidence! any way , Dhoni walks the talk! Great! Link to comment

Well... isn't that how everyone one of us felt after the first three matches. How would a team know how much to get against us? Link to comment
coffee_rules
Can't measure today's cricketers with yesterday's standards. Dravid/Ganguly/Sachin wouldn't have said it, but Dhoni is a today's man with today's sensibilities. Call it Jingoism or Arrogance or Confidence, depends on if you are stuck in a timewarp and not realized that the sensibilities have changed over time. Link to comment

King
Have you guys heard Tendulkar talk likewise? Does that make him a siss or does it mean he hasn't the confidence? Just look at South Africa as an example. When they played in Australia there was no talk, just action and you saw the result. Saffies got carried away and talked heaps before the Aussies could visit South Africa. Now you have seen the result. You can be confident without being arrogant. At least wait till India is through with the series. India hasn't won a test series in NZ for quite some time. By chance India struggles these comments will come to bite back big time. The Aussies were criticized plenty here when they were arrogant but now an Indian does it you guys call it great stuff. I don't quite understand this. If you can admire Dhoni for his comments then you can admire Ponting for his arrogance too. Don't you think? Link to comment
