He's been playing international cricket for close to a decade yet still looks like a novice at times. Just does not convince as a test player - not got the temperament or the technique to play the innings that are required on a consistent basis. The intelligence does not seem to be there either - appears he shares a brain with babaji patel. How many more chances does he need?

In the extended run' date=' He will do great in Tests in Sub Continental (some times). :)[/quote'] Is this pitch really different from subcontinental ones ? I mean, it is even easier to play here, because the ball doesn't get roughed up and so there is lack of reverse swing. I think 70% of all pitches in the world can easily be classified as subcontinental right now.

This guy should have bowled' date= batted and fielded more for NZ in all matches (Tests and ODIs). Seems to be a brilliant find for NZ. Good batting and catching there mate.
Will you say the same thing about Sachin if he fails and drops catches in the next test match? Plz dont watch cricket.Kabaddi is your game.Where you can give your stupid opinions and noone will notice it. One or two bad matches doesnt make a player bad. Most of the fans in india are suffering from "short term memory loss" :hysterical: abhi sehwag sehwag kar rahe hai 2 match woh bhi sahi nahi khela toh uski commitment pe question mark laga denge ke woh dusri country ke liye khelta hai.Plz yaar cricket ko follow mat karo aur koi sports follow karo. When the whole team performed bad in this test match you find only one guy?Just becoz you dont like him and questionning his commitment?:omg:Blame the team not any individual.Ofcourse you wont understand that cricket is a team game.Gosh there are different set of rules for every player in india.

I think this test series will reveal a lot about yuvi and his viability in tests especially outside India.bowlers know how to get him out and so far his technique has not changed to counter it.
Yuvi needs to see a shrink first ...
Not just this series. Whenever it is we have Test series against SA in SA, Yuvi will face the ultimate test there. Actually, given the flat pitches its surprising he is failing in NZ. One can only attribute that to some mental problem he has with Test matches, given he did well in ODIs. Kumble_rocks is right in suggesting a shrink.

I can guarantee you your mental problems are way bigger than UV's. Lots of people have suggested you see a shrink too, you know.

Has great reserves of mental strength imo.
Yuvraj has great reserves of mental strength? So far, in the test matches, I've been unable to see him give an hour to the bowlers, and not score for more than 20 balls. His technique hasn't been great to have 20 successive dot balls. He needs to find a balance - because a 0 on the flat pitch by driving on a up and edging to slip is not the way you can show that you can play test matches.

He has great reserves of mental strength...but he keeps holding it in reserve also...that's the problem. I suppose he is saving for a rainy day...but no one plays cricket on rainy days...someone has to have a word with him. :cantstop: Nah...he will come good...wait and see.
