Mr. Wicket Posted April 19, 2009 Share Posted April 19, 2009 Watched a couple of games, decided I'd give it a fair chance rather than just ***** about it without watching anything (and I've got a subscription to a cricket channel that includes that along w/ other coverage, so figured I'd throw it on when there's nothing else). If I'm going to crib and criticize I'd rather do it based off what I watch rather than take the fineleg approach. That said, aside from Kumble, Warne, Dravid and Tendulkar - all of whom I'd much rather watch in a longer format of the game - nothing's interested me so far and the hour+ I watched of today's game was boring, insipid, insomnia curing crap. And seriously, how the **** did everyone miss that detail on Youtappa? People almost flooded the old ICF server on SN *****ing about Parthiv's keeping, and Karthik's been the target of a lot of crap here (rightfully so) for keeping like a monkey with two left hands. The moment someone actually does well standing up to Kumble, is everyone busy fapping to the cheerleaders or waiting for more beastly beastly sixes to be hit? I'd like to see the kid start keeping in domestics a bit more. He does have talent and a good eye, and it would be nice to at least see him as the reserve keeper/bat in ODIs instead of Karthik if he can raise his keeping standard to pace and footwork, so Dhoni doesn't get worn down and miss too many more tests. Just a couple of things - last year, it was awesome, we had a very busy forum throughout the IPL - but a lot of personal insults/abuses, etc. were used against other members. We'll probably go a little easier in this forum in terms of abuses against teams/players, etc. - but here are a couple of things we'll still follow: 1) No abuses towards other members - whatsoever. If the moderators don't feel it was said in jest, its not being said in jest. The post will be edited/deleted. 2) Don't abuse players' familes, poster's familes, or anyone's families. 3) No dirty/offensive images. Use nice images that convey your point better :P ---- 4) No abuses on Sehwag, Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Dada, Kumble. Any abuses shall be dealt with :P by me. 5) All flamy's posts about his love exploits with Atul Sharma/Shahid Afridi will be free to edit by moderators. 6) This one is by EMC High Command - NO AGARKAR PICTURES. They will be replaced by pictures of awesome dude in my avatar - or God. Laddoos and gentlemen, It has been brought to the attention of the Consortiumatti that Rule #4 has been violated a number of times in the last few hours. EMC again reminds you of this guideline for moderation, and wishes to inform dissenters that moderators and the Consortiumatti itself will take action for any further abuse against Certain Players.
