The following is an Evil Mod Consortium Production brought to you by Salil and graphic23, shamelessly ripped off from inspired by the greatest nation on Earth, the Colbert Nation. As followers of the Colbert Nation, we have started a new segment: Tip of the Hat-Wag of the Finger. Every week, we will tip our hats to a cricketer or a fan (of ICF) as a recognition to their hard work and achievements over the preceding week. At the same time, there are those who deserve to recognized in the public's eyes as the ones who've let down the community of cricket fans - verbally or through their actions on the field. tipofthehat.jpg We start off this week by giving a Tip of the Hat to the Wall, Mr. Dependable, the architect of India's most successful era in overseas Test wins. Surprisingly, the recognition this week has nothing to do with any of these achievements but rather for being the spine amongst an incompetent team led by an egostistical, self-centered fool of a captain. The Bangalore Royal Challengers have played 4 games and won only one, and Dravid has been the highest scorer for the team in this time. He scored a flawless 66 against the champions of IPL I - when the rest of the team combined scored a miserable 67 runs. But his knock ensured that the team had a defendable, and a match winning score. 4 days later, he scored another 48 at a staggering S/R of 177 to take Bangalore within reaching heights of 185 - a target that would've been impossible to even dream of when BRC were struggling at 62/5 at the half-way mark. And for this, :emc: tips its hat to a player who has reinvented his stroke play time and again, and has contributed to his team like few others. Our Wag of the Finger this week goes out to Marirs_Mania, President, Founding Member, Janitor and filler of various other positions at SouthIndiancricketfans.com for self inflicted epic failure. During one of the many North/South catfights taking place this week, Morris tried to create a united front: "I hereby give this clarion call to all South Indian posters of ICF to unite against a North Indian IPL team. Remember, Delhi is the Northern most Indian city being represened in the IPL, It cannot get any more 'Northier' than this." After being called out on this with several disgruntled Northies pointing out that Punjab and thus Chandigarh are north of Delhi (and therefore it COULD get 'Northier' than that), Morris then tried to hide behind semantics claiming Punjab was not a city (yet not acknowledging his claim that it could not get 'Northier' than Delhi) and trying various tactics to cover his ass more tightly than the newest inmate in Cell Block B. It didn't work. See kids, civics and geography can be put to some good use! All the EMC has to say to Morris is this: wagofthefinger.gif
