Shane Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 We are missing the point here, RCB should be duly credited after all the trashing they generally get from the media/public, well as for MI, it was an off day
Guest Hiten. Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 We are missing the point here' date=' RCB should be duly credited after all the trashing they generally get from the media/public, well as for MI, it was an off day[/quote'] RCB had a good squad, but Mallya being himself gave the reins in hand of KP without thinking even once. I am quite surprised they introduced Du Preez so late (not that late) in the tournament when they were missing their strike bowler Steyn :hmmm:

flamy Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 I agree. The match was lost due to some dumbass captaincy. :reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy: :reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy::reddy:
flamy Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 Royally Challenged Bambis :haha: :hatsoff::hatsoff: And btw thanks for making my thread the match thread. You are a real sport.
Rajiv Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 mi supporters atleast punjab and brc was close , look at u losers lol We believe in either win it or give no show, but the good part about today was that I didnt have to take any blood pressure pills..the result was so obvious :cantstop:
King Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 There always is an ounce of doubt about MI when Tendulkar leads. He gets into too much pressure to win when leading. Unfortunately they can't change captains now. As long as Tendulkar captains MI, Mumbai loses. If he wasn't leading he would be raking up runs left, right and center. I don't want to rejoice far too soon. BRC is perfectly capable of losing 6 in a row. Just glad they have at least won 4 so far.

I'd rather lose to another oldies group like BRC then other teams, but yes you are right abt Sachins captaincy
cowboysfan Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Why did he open with Bravo? :dontknow: i guess he wanted to keep malinga and his yorkers for the death overs and it backfired badly.
suraj Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Why did he open with Bravo? :dontknow: That was sheer stupidity
flamy Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 That was sheer stupidity goddy is what goddy does. :reddy:
EnterTheVoid Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I had a good hearty laugh when I woke up this morning and checked the points table CSK and RR lamenting at the bottom. Oh man, I could've never forseen that
ritwik Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 That was sheer stupidity Although it didn't come off, it was a creative move. Bravo is a clever T20 bowler, with variety and subtle changes of pace. He can be somewhat expensive, but he is a wicket taking option. Yesterday not just Bravo, but the entire Mumbai bowling attack looked off boil. I think they were rattled by Kallis' early aggression.
ViruRulez Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 As I told in the match thread it was wrong of Tendulkar not to implement any pressure in the middle overs Zak and Malinga should have bowled in the middle overs when the RRR was around 8 .. they could have increased it to 11 - 12 and then BRC would have been under some pressure ... but Sachin kept on continuing with part timers even when BRC was going on nicely .. that was not the ideal captaincy for sure
gaurav92 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 MI gotta shuffle batting order.. Jaya and SRT opening isnt right.. shut up veer do u wanna disturb the most feared opening slot :hitler: they have not clicked uptill yet big except the 127 run stand against the :kkr: but still i think they are good enough to know their fallbacks and hey the mumbai team depends on them to give a good start......yesterday they just had an off- day losing to more pumped up banglore side.....but i m sure they ll comeback and that too with a bang see banglore loyal scavengers fans how mumbai indians maul u in the next encounter.....its not far away :cheer: just be ready to face the defeat next time round though :giggle:
gaurav92 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 That was sheer stupidity hey suraj hang on bravo has done reasonably well with the new ball for mumbai indians in the initial matches so it wasnt a stupidity to bowl bravo ahead of malinga....besides malinga is a very good death overs bowler especially with his yorker going :cantstop: so it wasnt a bad idea to start with bravo.....bravo is a good bowler and can pick up early wickets.....but he did not clicked this time though but that doesnt mean that it was a bad ploy from sachin :adore: had he done well we all would have said ahhh gr8 captaincy but if he has not done well......."sheer stupidity" understand its cricket and in cricket anything could happen its really a funny game as gavaskar keeps saying :--D
