Kartikey
http://ibnlive.in.com/news/jadeja-alleges-racism-in-srks-knight-riders-team/92366-5.html New Delhi: Former Test cricketer Ajay Jadeja made a sensational claim on Monday, claiming Indian players were being ill-treated by foreign staff of the beleaguered Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League, currently on in South Africa. Jadeja hinted that a member of the KKR foreign coaching staff used racial overtones while speaking with an Indian player during the tournament. "You don't need blogger (to know this)," he said in an apparent reference to the 'FakeIPLplayer' blogsite. "I can assure you that there is definitely a divide and Indian players are (being) treated very badly." Jadeja told an English news channel in a programme. "I am an Indian player. I know so many players in the team (Kolkata Knight Riders Team). One player was asked to come off the field and when he came off the field he asked "Why did you want me to come off the field? One of the coaches in KKR says 'You Indian, you do what I ask you to do'," he said. Jadeja insisted his claims were true, saying he had the information “from horse’s mouth†and that the team was a divided house. "So there is definitely a divide. I know it from the source himself. So the players are not feeling comfortable. There is divide between Indian and foreign player and there is a divide between thought process. I mean Sourav Ganguly has a different thought process and you can see that. So this team is divided. There is no doubt about it," he added. The KKR team is dealing with controversies way before the start of the tournament when their coach John Buchanan proposed the multiple-captain theory. They have lost eight of their 10 matches so far. The one match they won was where they triumphed via Duckworth-Lewis method. There is also a tell-all blog on team's activities, although the authenticity of the blog is still in doubt. Desi Cartman
I dont think one the support staff member would be stupid enough to say what jadeja has alleged. If this had really happened Im sure he would have complained to SRK to make sure that the staff member got sacked else he would have sued the team owner. Chandan
Jadeja looking for another 15 minutes of fame No he isn't. He comes on the NDTV channel everyday for the sports news segment since last 5 years and he did that this time too. I've been listening to his analysis since last few years and find him the sanest cricket expert on the new channels. Who cares about useless KKR with a useless coach and owner anyway :finger: I think we should care about the players. If there is racism against Indian players in an Indian domestic cricket tournament, then it is pretty serious and should be addressed quickly. True or not Jadeja should be the last person talking about team and unity. He was a match fixer of highest class. You go by the court's ruling. They found him not guilty. Now' date=' Azhar, thats another case.[/quote'] That is it Ravi. Jadeja, could have said many ridiculous things about Indian players if he wanted to tell a lie and was looking for just sensational publicity. He has had ample opportunity. But he never said anything sensational till now. Why is he saying it now? There has to be some truth in it. I trust him in that way.
saikatmaity
Racial Discrimination in KKR Camp Explosive News from the KKR Camp! Even with the worst performance in the history of Indian Premier League, the KKR camp is never failing to gather the media bytes (for all wrong reasons, though). Latest in the series of incessant controversies (thanks to Bookha Naan and Phoren Babas), Ajay Jadeja has revealed a sensational news from the KKR camp in a private news channel. Jadeja said that the foreign coaching staff members of the KKR team are ill treating the Indian cricketers. It was also alleged that racist comments were being hurled at an Indian cricketer. The cricketer was asked to come out of the field, by a coaching staff member. When the cricketer questioned him, the coaching staff supposedly replied, “You Indian ... do what I say.†Jadeja stated with conviction that there was a divide in the KKR team and Indian players are not being treated well. Speculations are being made that Jadeja had got this news from one of the Delhi based cricketer currently playing in the KKR team. Among the cricketers from Delhi are Ishant Sharma, Yaspal Singh and Akash Chopra. What started with Sourav’s removal from KKR captaincy, has resulted in a complete polarisation in the KKR camp between the foreign players (excluding Masrafe Murtaza) and the Indian players, with the Indians at a receiving end. Wonder what Shahrukh is thinking ...... “Picture abhi baaki hain mere Dost!. Galat sahi kuch nahin hota...News mein bane rehna chahiye baas!†Bravo K-K-King K-K-Khan! You deserve a standing ovation! :protest::fight::whack: Disclaimer: Article based on the news published in Ananda Bazaar Patrika on 12th May
