no .. well not from this performance.... he dint do anything spl in NZ...apart frm tht ponting over and aus-home series and tht inning against pak at home.. he doesnt have anything to show off.. his average stands testimony for that... he can be a very good bowler.. but he seems to b losing it..

has early success gone to his head??? he seems to be very ordinary, inconsistent.... discuss..
I agree. He didnt do anything special in NZ also where bowlers were getting help from the pitches. He is becoming arrogant and inconsistent match by match.May be he deserves a kick just like Zaheer got few years ago.

He is 20 years old. He still has a long way to go. he is bowling too short and too wide which is a crime in T20. He doesn't bowl enough full deliveries. He is at his best when he bowls on a good length. But he rarely does.
May be its the effect of having Sir Aggy in the same dug out.:giggle:

I consider ishant as a good line and length bowler similar to Steyn, kallis and others and in T20s batsmen can pretty much guess whtas coming .Ishant has to learn new variations if he has to survive in t20s and ODIs.there will come a point in the near future where his wicket taking abilities will be offset by his RR.I also think he has improved a bit from IPL1 but he still hasnt lost the annoying habit of bowling some really bad balls.

Ishant is keeping Laxmipathy Balaji out. When will Balaji get a chance to prove himself????? :hitler:
Atleast Balaji has a better smile than Ishant.:giggle:

First and foremost thing for a bowler in shorter version is control. You should be able to pitch the ball where you want. I don't think Ishant possess that. In Tests you can get away with wayward deliveries. In shorter formats you can't. Why do you think bracken is a top ODI bowler not a Test bowler. Because he possess great control.
