My mum is coming 50 on 4th July and since its her 50th i want to do something special, I have some options down but dont know which to chose, which seems best? and also any good ideas you have? 1.) Romantic holiday to the maldives with papa 2.) Trip to phuket spa 3.) New kitchen ( all of this money comes from relatives as well) 4.) Take her out to her favoruite restuarant any other suggestions would be very useful thanks

Thats really nice of you to plan something exciting for your mom. I think you should take her out to her favorite restaurant as well as give her a nice gift. You have to judge what gift would be appropriate as you know her personally and know what her likes and dislikes are.

Oh no I just realized my mom turned 50 last month. :omg: I have to use the "it's not my fault if you don't look a year older than 35 trick". :P

1st option if your parents get along well. 2nd option if they don't. 3rd if you are not sure. 4th if you are really cheap. other options.....excercise bike if she is overweight. Diamond earrings. Make a huge collage of old favourite pictures and turn it into a huge poster if she is the sentimental kind.

A good book, and plant a kitchen garden for her. Not only will you give her a hobby that she might find rather refreshing, the fresh vegetables from the garden would prolong her existence.

Give her a handwritten letter that details why she is such a special mum- why you want to thank her for all the achievements in her life to date - for things you know that she did for you; the memories that you have had where she took special care of you - for things that you don't know but have heard about; e.g. when you were a baby - for things that she could have avoided doing but did them neverthless and throw in no. 1 as well :--D but the letter will drive her to tears of happiness I assure you
