patriot
Over the years, I've come to believe so. South Africa is very competetive but extremely boring to watch - and have never held their own against Australia barring the recent win in Oz. India vs Australia, I find farr more exciting than Indo- Pak contests as well. Be it the Mcwarne era or current era, I feel the competiveness in Ind-Aus test matches is the ultimate exhibition of cricket. Moreover its been evenly contested. Can't wait for the next India- Aus series. Link to comment
punjabi_khota
Yes, for past few years, it has been like that. During the Mc-Warne era, SA were no match to OZ. After they left, SA and OZ are on the same level but now the contest lacks any decent spinners. So that takes a bit out of the beauty of test cricket when the best spinner on display is Michael Clarke. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Yea.. But Aussies will always rate Ashes as their no.1 contest. Link to comment
graphic23
I would guess Australia-South Africa comes in first by a small margin. I think Australia-India and Australia-England are about par, probably the Ashes taking 2nd place depending on your preference. Link to comment
jf1gp_1
why what was wrong with todays game ? i saw the last 12-15 overs, great cricket Link to comment
Bradman99
Ashes is the best, then India. Link to comment
DomainK
Nothing comes close to India-Australia when it comes to the quality of cricket. Link to comment

Chorazin Reto
I think SA, Ind, Aus games against each other are always great to watch, the Ashes holds a special place because of it's history and the old Eng vs Aus rivalry. When does India play SA or Aus next? Link to comment
Bradman99
Nothing comes close to India-Australia when it comes to the quality of cricket. To sum it up.. Whenever India/Aus/SA play each other that is when the quality is the highest. It's the history and rivalry that makes the Ashes the most enjoybale (for me). Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
For me it's the India/Australia tests and the Ashes. India/South Africa and Aus/RSA games lack that same spark. But in the Aus v. Eng or India series, the players on both sides just seem to give so much more - players like Flintoff, Gilchrist, Jones, Botham, etc put in these career highlight performances in the Ashes, literally seeming to save the best for a series that carries the most tradition and history of any major sports rivalry, and it's quite similar in India/Aus games these days given that it's usually a contest between two very, very high quality teams and intense rivals with some of the most stylish and exciting players on both sides. Sachinism
Same as pretty much everyone else here, India-Aus and Ashes followed by everyhing else. Link to comment
Riley's Girl
IMO India/Oz then Ashes then SA/Oz. Link to comment
Don Sharma
For me India/Aus followed closely by Pak/Bang(whenever that happens) Link to comment
vvvslaxman
For me it's the India/Australia tests and the Ashes. India/South Africa and Aus/RSA games lack that same spark. s. It becomes a snooze-fest after a couple of Tests. Link to comment
goose
The Aussies are nothing if not a bunch of tarts. Tell them there's a billion people watching this game and they'll turn it on....or least try to. Link to comment
hari504504
India wouldn't want t o play Aussies anytime soon...we need to get ourselves together first.. batting and bowling looks a lil iffy fir the first time in months(for tests) Link to comment
Chorazin Reto
Hmmm by the same token the longer you leave it the more experience these newbies will get at Test level lets look down the Aussie lineup and no. of Tests Katich 39 Hughes 4 Ponting 132 Hussey 38 Clarke 48 North 3 Haddin 16 Johnson 22 Hauritz 5 Siddle 8 Hilfenhaus 4 That bowling attack lacks experience, India should put them to the sword in a Test match.
