Only animals that give birth to live young have need for a uterus and endometrium. Chickens, which lay eggs and gestate their young outside of their bodies, do not have uteri and therefore do not produce an endometrium. So, while an egg is similar to a period in that it is an unfertilized reproductive cell that has left the body, it is not like a period in that there is no blood or extra tissue that is passed in addition. :proud: :proud: :proud:
