Offtopic from my observation of my Indian friends from university and Icf...personal opinion but kinda sad to see so many Indian Hindus of this generation turning to nonveg food. Wonder if the culture of veg diet wud be gone from Indian Hindus in few centuries.
During the Rajput reign, they used to have some brilliant non-veg cuisines. So, no its not something that this generation is turning into. I don't give a sh!t about Religion when it comes to food. Its stupid and obnoxious!

haha nothing like that... I have nothing against any person eating meat... Infact I always accompany my friends to SteakHouse or any Wings festival.. Its just that all my Indian friends were either non-veg or turned to non-veg during University... This trend of turning to non-veg food is kinda becoming common among Indian youth...I guess as a practicing Hindu, personally I just find it a bit sad (not that our religious scriptures are against it)

He lives in that forum and visits this forum.
One thing which is sad about our forum is that it is hard to debate here as there is no respect of anyone's faith or religion ... Muslims are disrespected in almost every post (bloody hell forgetting the fact that we have almost same Muslims as Paksitan) and Hindu cultural practices are mocked in most TimePass section posts..on top of it, gross language is used for Prophets or Hindu gods... atleast in that forum, there is 'small' moderation or respect for Islam and Hinduism... but here its cool to make fun of Hindu gods or Muslims

But mods here are busy with their day to day lives. Except VVS or MTC sometimes others are pretty busy. Reminds me of the joke made by Daisy about other forum.

why discriminate with cows... I am not saying Hinduism stops us from eating meat... its just the Hindu 'culture' of vegetarian diet is going away with each generation which i find a bit sad... again personal opinion... We should stop this discussion now as we are spamming this thread with some offtopic stuff

We have lot of cows back home. Just feels sad eating one when you have them as pets.

It doesn't say anywhere that we shouldn't eat meat. You can sacrifice, but not eat the meat? I'm a very loyal Hindu as well, but not fanatic and insecure.

:hello::hello::hello: I don't eat any now, but when I did, I ate anything and everything I could get my hands on as long as it was edible :-) As I said my god doesn't distinguish between a cow, a pig and a chicken. They are all his babies. Of course when I don't eat -- I don't eat any.

I am a Brahmin and I eat everything, well not dogs and insects but all commonly considered food including beef and pork.
