But this car is so responsive it is as if it reads you mind. Driving the Vento was so much fun, even though I drove it only for a limited stretch. And the arm rests ( driver seat) are also very comfy. Great job VW.:two_thumbs_up: Petrol ya Diesel? The vento is the best car in the 10 lac range, the only problem is the features. Even my 2 year old i20 has usb input, aux, autofolding mirrors, controls on steering, etc. CG - Did you meet PJ there?

Hey, what problems with the features? I checked up with a few people and online. Carwale.com and other sites have reviews of people who own the Vento and all are pretty positive about it. Plus I've taken help from friends and relatives who know much more about cars than I. No one mentioned any problems. Main competition is between Linea Fiat and Vento. I love the I-20, but am used to a sedan for the last few years. I'll have to get my driving re-adjusted for a hatchback. Is yours Manual or Auto?

My i20 is a manual. I think if you already have a big car. (SUV or large sedan) then it makes sense going for a smaller car as it is so much easier to zip into spaces, find parking etc. I was looking at a city when I was getting my i20, but I had big cars, and the i20 gives you the space and comfort of the city/vento class of cars but parks like a wagonR. What do you mean by getting your driving re-adjusted from sedan to hatchback. If you're driving a sedan, then moving to a hatchback will be so much fun, just because now you can zip into tiny gaps etc.

In fact Linea has better reviews than the new Honda City. :D What I mean is that I'm driving a sedan (Octavia) for last few years. So, I am brave enough to cut or speed besides another car etc. I wouldn't dare do that from a Wagon R. Its a psychological thing. You just tend to feel safer in a sedan than a small car. Also I don't drive into tiny spaces. I always keep some gap between me and the car ahead, no matter how much the guys behind honk. Meh! I don't now how to explain.

So you have not experienced the joys of a small car. I have a sedan which is quite a bit bigger than yours, one which is the same size as yours, and an SUV. I still drive the i20. As for safety, Skoda Octavia Euro NCAP safety rating - 4 stars. Hyundai i20 Euro NCAP safety rating - 5 stars.

You are the only one I've seen who prefers a hatchback!!! Thats because you are giving too much importance to parking (which is a big thing I admit). Comfort factor is definitely better in a sedan. What about the passengers who sit behind in the i20? How much leg space do they get? See, I don't speed or rush at all. Very rarely. So the question of going into tiny spaces to save time doesn't arise. PS: My dad drives a SUV. But its strictly off limits to me. Its very tough to drive a SUV anyways. :((

Think of a car that is safer than your octavia, as powerful as the old city, and zips around like a wagon R. the i20 is quite spacious at the back. I was all city city city, and then sat in this and went :omg:. This is basically a city without a boot. Also, when you have 5 ppl, cars like this are more spacious because the dont have that big-ass bump in the floor at the back. (Transmission tunnel) Also, it has the creature comforts that I wanted.. like mirrors folding with a button, usb port, aux port, controls on steering, cooled glovebox, etc. SUV's are also very easy to drive. Simple. No-one fk's with you.
Mariyam Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 :(( Don't confuse me more by giving me more choices. :(( Prob with SUVs in driving on narrow roads & reverse parking. It is very easy to misjudge. Its very easy to miss a bike or a cycle parked behind. I also get nervous taking short but complete U turns in a SUV. You have to be so careful that you don't touch any other car. If I had my way, I would change the classification for SUV from light vehicles to heavy. And have a separate driving license for them, along with Omni, buses etc.

For White you have to wait a bit. If anything, I'll go for deep black or beige.
