gaurav92
Agarkar has better away record (home of the opposition) than Akram. He has taken 97 wickets in 60 games at 1.62 wickets per match whereas Akram has taken 168 wickets in 121 matches at 1.39 wickets per match. What more, the strike rate of Akram was 37 whereas that of Sir Aggy was just 30. He is probably the greatest bowler of all time Aggy's Stats Akram's Stats Link to comment

adi B
wow sir aggy's avg is just 27.8,magnificent S/R of 33 and a decent E/R of 5..surely the greatest indian odi bwler along with srinath.. those stats are comparable to the ATGs of the game,1.6 wkts per match for almost 200 odis is no joke, add to that 100 odi maiden ovrs bowled .sir aggy :adore: Link to comment
Cricket_Hacker
Yes definitely....Sir Aggy was awesome....ODI god :two_thumbs_up: definitely more tailunted than Akram ,would have been a legend if not for BCCI politics Link to comment
Crookbond
BUMP for the Indo Pak discussions on H2H for posters using weird logic. Also, Agarkar after retirement got a job in Cricinfo + Star Sports. Wasim Akram only got a job at ESPN Star - even the world recognises that Agarkar >>>>> Akram Link to comment
Haarkarjeetgaye
Agarkar did not leave his country to go and stay in an arch rival country :hysterical: Link to comment
BlueBee
Wow! :woot: Those stats are mind boggling. Aggy is way better than Akram :hail: Link to comment

Kalia_Test
Wow - and look at the hype that a certain left-arm pacer gets when Agarkar was way better than him in all stats and performances consistently He speaks better English too and that is just a bonus. Agarkar Link to comment
Number
100 at Lords, single handed match winning 6fer at Adelaide. Wasim was a decent bowler no doubt, but Agarkar was in different league. Link to comment
AmreekanDesi
I think Aggy bhai was almost an equal with Wasim bhai in ODI cricket apart from longevity. But in tests, akram smokes agarkar PS: didn't read the first few pages and I know its prolly a thread in jest Link to comment

sensible-indian
What a comedy thread. Should be deleted. What an insult to Akram. This is worse than comparing Inzi with SRT. Link to comment
kosingh
I'd say they are about the same. Although most batsmen think that Agarkar had more talent than Wasim, at least some others feel that Wasim was better. This is one of those great debates in cricket in the last 25 years. Similar to Tendulkar or Lara? Richie Benaud's commentary to Tony Greig? Coke or Pepsi? People are always going to be divided over this. Link to comment

True...A few people think that Wasim was more talented and TBH he had his few moments too ( I always think Wasim is like Joginder Sharma in LOI - both had their moments in greatest stage) but Agarkar was in a different league altogether....Agarkar also never used bottle caps or fixed matches...nor was he spotted smoking marijuana...so on an ethical scale, there is no comparison anyways.... Agarkar >>>>>Wasim IMO in LOI... Link to comment
