Yes, you weren't the one who started using profanity with comments like low IQ chu.tiya, picking fights with moderators and calling them biased and incompetent or calling people idol worshipping retards in various other threads when they tried to simply stick to the argument on Tendulkar. If you want to play the victim card now, then **** off and spare us your bullsh-t.
You are turning out to be a shameless liar man...please read your post yesterday 4.59 PM that preceeded my " profanity" filled post. If thats not a personal attack then what is ? This isn't your pappa's forum ..that you should be able to read only what agrees with your views...else you a cricket genius who has the god given right to launch personal attacks with views that differ from yours particularly when they relate to your " God" .

You still have the face to come back and post garbage and you call others shameless?

So views that differ from a skewed majority are " garbage " and worthy of personal attacks by rabid posters ? I took a call yesterday , that was incorrect - I am not one to run away .

Why do you lot have to be so ***ing personal, given that both of you support the same bloody team ? Patriot you needn't follow other's suit by calling tendulkar's fans worshippers etc. and the tendulkar worshippers fans should take perspective from others bit light heartedly. Hug and make up beetches :thefinger:

All I can say this ODI team under Dhoni is a different animal. So no point in coming to pre-mature conclusions based on past ODI final performances.

Atleast I stuck my neck out -Unlike most fence sitters, who were just hoping. Our abysmal record in finals - repeated by experts countless times, even right at the start of the toss and SRT's failure for ATLEAST 15 consecutive finals may be dumb for you - but they are facts . I am sure you were "entertained" right throughout the " small period " of 10 years from 1999 till before the 2008 CB series , when the " greatest ever " ODI batter raised his game in finals like great players must do in big matches.

And why should Tendulkar carry the entire blame for a crap record in the finals. In fact since his debut, India has not been able to win one, that's right, not a single final in which Tendulkar has not featured. 15 consecutive failures for Tendulkar in finals? You must be smoking some pretty decent stuff there. Can you give me that sequence. Tendulkar did not even play in a final after 2004 to 2008 so for what reason except sophistry you are counting those years, I don't know. Even between that 1999 to 2004 period you are talking about, he performed in 3 out of 12 finals. Anyone with a basic idea of the game will tell you that no one can succeed consistently all the time. You are excluding his scores prior to that period of 134, 100*, 128, 124* and immediately after that of 117*, 91, and 138 in a failed attempt of statistical jugglery. What you are saying is something on the lines that Tendulkar failed to do well in the matches he failed in, ignoring his successes and the astounding fact that he averages 55+ in 40 ODI finals.

No one has ever performed consistently - never claimed that. Tendulkar till 1998 was reliable in big games. Regarding the sequence of failures. See below: http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/35320.html?class=2;filter=advanced;final_type=1;orderby=start;spanmax1=31+Dec+2007;spanmin1=01+Jan+1999;spanval1=span;template=results;tournament_type=3;tournament_type=5;type=allround;view=innings But post 1998 and leading upto the 2008 CB series ( last finals he played before that as you correctly pointed out was in 2004) 14 finals : Avg 25.83. - this is too long a period and too many a game to just rubbish it off as no one succeeds always.I also think we go totally overboard about his 1998 exploits in Sharjah against Kaspro, Moody and Fleming, FINALS against teams like Kenya and Zimbabwe against whom he scored multiple centuries that year. His record in ODIS against Aussies with Mcgrath playing is extremely low - with Mcgrath pricing him out in the last 2WCs in his very first over.

Out of the 14 matches, he did not bat in one of them and 1 was rained out when he was 7*. That leaves 12. In this worst run sandwiched between scores of 134, 100*, 128, 124* on one side and 117*, 91, and 138 on the other he scored 40, 69, 45, and 74 in four of the matches. How is that 14 consecutive failures? The longest stretch I see is 5 consecutive failures. Go overboard with the Sharjah exploits? Those back to back hundreds are of the best quality you are going to see ever. Fleming and Kappa were not junk bowlers, you know and then there was Shane Warne. He averages 36 in matches involving McGrath - lower than his career average, but higher than a lot of people average in their career. His strike rate is an astounding 92 in these matches - that's extremely low? :hysterical: McGrath was one of the best bowlers the game has ever seen and it's obvious that he is going to get the better of Tendulkar at times. And remember Tendulkar opened against McGrath, one of the most dangerous operators with the new ball.

You can make your sandwich however small you want :winky: - but 13/14 FINAL innings is too long a time to fail - particularly if people claim him to be the " greatest ". The reason I say this is that he still averaged 45+ in non-finals during that prolonged failure in finals. Hence the word choking. Jayasuriya on the other hand avreages a lowly 33, but averges 50+ in finals last 10 years with a strike rate of 90+ Warne was playing is first series after a major shoulder injury - He got a drubbing even by the Mumbai Ranji sides little known players in the first warm up during the 1998 tour to India. Yeah moody, kasp, fleming, Henry Olanga, Thomos Odoyo etc whom he killed in finals in 1998 on wickets in Sharjah and India must be really challenging. :winky: Some of us talk about that Sharjah knock a million times more than Australians must have talked about Pontings knock in the WC final or Gilchirst's in 2007 - although the significance is not even comparable.

You claimed 15 consecutive final failures for Tendulkar - I see a maximum of 5 consecutive failures. Can you show me the 10 others?

What is the this obsession with last 10 years/1999 anyways? Why not compare taklu with Tendulkar over their career span? Because you don't like to see Taklu getting blown away by the sheer mastery of Tendulkar? Oh and Tendulkar also averages 50+ in the last 10 years. Whenever any player is going to play a lot of matches there are going to be periods when he is not able to score - Tendulkar had a lean trot in some finals and has been brilliant over all. Where you are showing your dumb "analysis" is picking out the matches where he did poorly and trying to prove he is a bad player. When you pick and choose your data in accordance with the hypothesis you are trying to prove you will always get your desired result. It's also known as intellectual dishonesty.
Warne was playing is first series after a major shoulder injury - He got a drubbing even by the Mumbai Ranji sides little known players in the first warm up during the 1998 tour to India.
:hysterical::hysterical: I see you are eager to offer excuses for Warne's performances but are quick to point out Tendulkar's failure in the '99 WC against McGrath when he was playing immediately after his father's death. Since we are on the injury topic, that lean trot you are talking about coincided with a lot of injury problems that Tendulkar himself had.

You name a bowler who Tendulkar has not killed - how about the Akram/Waqar/Akhtar phaassht trio. :hysterical:
